Sailing

Wednesday, July 27, 2005. Sailing was awesome and one of the most enjoyable things we have ever done before. Except for the bad weather and the rough seas. Our baby (Cherry-B) was a mere 34ft. This makes it quite uncomfortable during rough water because the boat just pitches for the smallest of waves, easy to get sea-sick. Next sailing expedition the yacht has to be at least longer than 50ft, but for the Med a 34ft would be more suitable. Termia gets the better of you. No jokes the water was freezing.

Palau

Wednesday, July 06, 2005. The Palau archipelago forms part of the Marianna Island chain that borders the north-west edge of Micronesia. Palau consists of two main islands, Babeldaob and Koror, and the limestone Rock Islands of which there are more than 300. Almost all of the islands are surrounded by a fringe reef and thus are protected from the open sea. Palau has a rich history of WWII. This island was a strategic location for both Japan and America to launch attacks from and to use as supply basis...
