Hole in the sky. Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on, or by imbeciles who really mean it. July, 2009. We’d been driving all day, and it had been overcast since Arkansas. Somewhere between St. Louis and Terre Haute, an almost perfect hole opened in the sky.
