Bliver de populært kaldt, de 14-16 frivillige, der vinter og sommer møder op på minibyens værksted for at lave nye minihuse og udbedre eventuelle skader på de allerede udstillede huse. Alle bygningsdelene til minihusene bliver lavet fra bunden - mursten, tagsten, vinduer, døre, bindingsværk, skifertag o.s.v. De fleste byggedele er bittesmå, og det kræver stor akkuratesse og omhyggelighed at fremstille dem. Projektet modelskibsbygning er gået i stå!
