Utilize hand tools and test instruments (voltmeter, ampmeter, ohmmeter or micrometer, caliper and dial indicators). Test electronic components and circuits to locate defects. Align, adjust and calibrate machines according to specifications. Change oil, degrease and clean machines. Record all findings on checklist. High School degree or GED. Some level of mechanical skill.
