Trip to Magic Castle: magicians
http://magicians.livejournal.com/133190.html
Trip to Magic Castle. From my trip to the Magic Castle, here I am next to a poster from Master Magician Lee Grabel. Grabel is well into his 80's now and will be lecturing at the Oakland Magic Circle on the first Tuesday of December. Post a new comment. We will log you in after post. We will log you in after post. Rocco Silano: magicians
http://magicians.livejournal.com/133869.html
If anyone is near the Albany, NY area (or even feels like traveling), Rocco Silano, the guy who does D'lites, is doing a lecture on December 5th for Melvin's Magnificent Magic Shop. More info is at www.melvinsmagicshop.com. Just thought I'd pass the info along. I guess he doesn't do a whole lot of appearances like this anymore, so, I figured it's kind of a significant thing. Paper Balls Over the Head: magicians
http://magicians.livejournal.com/137479.html
Paper Balls Over the Head. One of the effects that I perform and is the most fun is the Paper Balls Over the Head. It's wonderful because it entertains and plays well for at least 5 minutes. The only thing I don't like is the way I finish. I don't like just finishing it with a large ball of paper. Does anyone know of a good way to finish this? PS I've seen watch steals, but I'm not comfortable with them. Post a new comment. We will log you in after post. We will log you in after post. Post a new comment.

Variety Shows: magicians
http://magicians.livejournal.com/134097.html
So there hasn't been much talk going on this list for a bit. Let's see if we can stir something up shall we? I've been invited to participate in a local variety show. Haven't made any decisions about it. Haven't even gone to see the show yet. It happens once a month and the next performance is a few weeks away. However, I have over the years considered the possibilities of creating my own variety show venue where I'm at. It would be very doable for many reasons. Post a new comment. Post a new comment.

Websites for performances, etc: magicians
http://magicians.livejournal.com/138234.html
Websites for performances, etc. I just wanted to post this because I thought there may be some people interested in this if you perform and advertise online or have/need some presence on the web. A guy I do some work with does web design and has a magic background and works closely with one performer, so he has an excellent understanding of the industry. He's running a special this week for design and I figured I'd pass the word along. Or if you comment, I can always pass the word on as well.

Office Apps: iphone_apps
http://iphone-apps.livejournal.com/5174.html
There's nothing in the memories, so I apologize if this has been asked before. but I'm trying to figure out an Office app, but it's hard to really compare through just the store. Has anyone used either Quickoffice and/or Documents to Go? I want something that's fairly easy to use and I can grab attachments from e-mail (I do have an exchange account) or even from a site if need-be, and then be able to e-mail it back out again. Has anyone used either of those or anything else that works pretty well?
