NEOTROPICAL CENTER FOR THE BIOMASS RESEARCH. The CNIB was founded in 2008 at the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador, in order to develop basic and applied knowledge on Neotropical biomass, which is widely represented in the four regions of Ecuador: Amazon basin, Andes, Pacific Coast and the Galapagos Islands.
