The Volunteer Coach: April 2009

http://www.coachchadaz.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html

Thursday, April 30, 2009. Drill of the Day: Follow the Ball. This is a drill that works for basketball, football, and soccer. I'm sure there's some way it applies to baseball, but I haven't convinced myself of that yet. Setup: Have the kids face you, and space themselves out. Explain the drill. This one can be tiring for the kids, but it also can emphasize quickness and agility. To increase the intensity (for older kids - middle school ) - have the players use "happy feet" between movements. For really y...

The Volunteer Coach: May 2009

http://www.coachchadaz.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html

Saturday, May 30, 2009. Almost everyone has an opinion about what sports to play, when to play them, and for how long. Over the last few years, I've seen many kids, many skillsets. And heard many parents' views. Even at 7 and 8 years old, it is too early to be thinking about college scholarships and pro careers. Some will disagree (some will disagree vehemently), and that's ok. At a time - they don't particularly benefit from having 2. or 3. to think about. Variety also helps multiple skills develop over...

The Volunteer Coach: Summer Sports

http://www.coachchadaz.blogspot.com/2009/08/summer-sports.html

Tuesday, August 4, 2009. Hello again. I've been distracted a bit lately with other things, but it's time to get back to writing about kids and sports. Today's topic: Sports leagues in the summer: To Play, or Not To Play? Summer is a unique time of the year. school is out, families go on vacations, and the weather is nice - unless you're in Arizona, where it's sunny but brutally hot. Do you enroll your kids in sports for the summer season, or not? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Volunteer Coach: Structure of Practice

http://www.coachchadaz.blogspot.com/2009/08/structure-of-practice.html

Thursday, August 6, 2009. I was watching a little NFL Network tonight, and of course it's Training Camp season. The commentators were dissecting the practices of several teams, and they made a good point. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). When you need to change leagues. View my complete profile.

Dawn's Blog: Halloween

http://dawnjurgensmeier.blogspot.com/2011/11/halloween.html

Wednesday, November 2, 2011. It was easy to pick Elizabeth's costume for this year. She was a flower girl in my sister Laura's wedding on October 8th, and she LOVES the dress that my mom and aunt Wanda made for her. Add a faux fur shawl and a tiara and BOOM- she's a princess. There's some adorable video of her getting her costume on that we'll post once we edit it. SUPER sweet. November 2, 2011 at 7:36 PM. Love the outfit :). November 3, 2011 at 11:09 AM. I want to take her trick or treating!

Dawn's Blog: Superstition Farm

http://dawnjurgensmeier.blogspot.com/2010/09/superstition-farm.html

Sunday, September 12, 2010. On Saturday we decided to support our local agriculture and take Elizabeth out to Superstition Farm. We did a hayride, Elizabeth's first horseback ride, and the petting zoo. We discovered she loves all the farm animals with the exception of the chickens, which she is deathly afraid of. Overall we had a blast and left with fresh milk, ice cream, butter, and cheese. Yum! Sorry about the sideways video- we've got to figure out how to fix that! Looks like a fun family outing!

POUR ME CONNAÎTRE DAVANTAGE. Ce que l’on cherche se manifeste à l’instant d’un soupir. Ndash; Christine Gagné. Coach Chainsaw's Dugout

Monday, 19 November 2012. The 'Saws at 2720TV. This is my orc team at one of its strongest ever lineups. Some people say it is broken, but it isn't; the volume of skills more than makes up for most inducements. Almost every game I failed to win with the team in this shape came down to basic error, because the skills usually overcame any bad dice. ST, Mighty Blow, Block, Break Tackle, Tackle, Frenzy.
