Wilson House, Cleveland Holloway, Durham. Saturday, January 12, 2013. This fireplace surround was covered with years of white paint. Most surrounds I have restored have been cast iron. I was cleaning this one up getting ready to paint it black, when I noticed what I thought was a bronze hue on the surface. Building a cob fortress. April 1, 2013 by danielleacres. The addition has been waiting all winter as well. We got things to a good stopping point, and then left it for the season.
