She hasn't figured out the chirping noises in the garage are a nest of starlings in the attic. Now that I have some fusalage parts primer'd some fun should start later in the week. Was cleared to take the check ride for the pilot's license saturday but the weather did not cooperate and looks pretty bad for the next week to ten days.

November 30, 2005. Worked out some glitches on getting the airspace files stored in the right directory / file for Flightgear to display the circular cores of B, C, and D class airspace. I'm only using an 8 sided cylinder for the circles at this point. One of the advantages of being newsletter editor is the opportunity to visit other chapter members' projects, like Dave Bridgham's shop where he is working a bush plane comparable to the Murphy line of bushplanes. Sort of an affordable version of a Beaver. From the looks of the welded steel fusalage it will be as strong as an ox! October 31, 2004. Brake lines. The saga continues. Getting ready to finalize the lightening holes in the rudder pedal brace and adding the grommet holes for the brake lines. September 30, 2004. I forgot to grind off the center hinge eyes for mounting the seats when it was easy to do. So now I get to do it the hard way. Also, I finally broke down and abandoned the taped shut chopstick method for holding washers and ground up a special pair of plyers. To take up the slack in the control column you have to slide thin washers into place, which becomes a real wrestling match! Now for some of the finer points on running fuel and brake lines.
