A stochastic thought repository. Quick and Simple Email Management With Mutt, Offlineimap, Imapfilter, Msmtp, and Archivemail. For many years, about a year ago my academic advisor introduced me to mutt. I’ve been using it as my mail reader ever since, in combination with offlineimap. And most recently archivemail. The setup is highly customizable, incredibly fast, and since the configuration is completely in text files, I can quickly make and keep track of changes across my multiple computers with git.

SSH Proxy for Firefox and Chromium - Jason's Blog
https://jason.the-graham.com/2010/07/25/ssh_proxy_for_firefox_and_chromium
A stochastic thought repository. SSH Proxy for Firefox and Chromium. When my wife and I were on our anniversary vacation on Whidbey. I was sad that the wireless internet access provided to us was unencrypted. I suppose that I should be glad that any existed at all, since Whittney and I were able to use Netflix as we were there. I wanted at the time to be able to set up a ssh tunnel. Command, but I wanted to script it somehow. A simple script to set up or stop a SSH tunnel. To my home server. Open the tun...

Farewell Google Reader - Jason's Blog

A stochastic thought repository. That they are closing Google Reader. This is quite sad for me: Reader is (in my opinion) the best feed reader available at the moment, and one of the only reasons my wife and I have a Google account in the first place. I’m sure that Google realizes that their main service doesn’t require a log in to use but without logging in, we produce less valuable metrics for them to sell ads. Posted by Jason Graham. Bastion on Linux - Jason's Blog
https://jason.the-graham.com/2012/07/14/bastion_on_linux
A stochastic thought repository. I just finished playing through the main story line of Bastion. It was an amazing game, especially the music. Getting the best performance out of it on my Arch. Linux box was, however, a bit difficult, so with this short post I want to let others avoid a bit of frustration and enjoy the game to its fullest. First, make absolutely sure you have compositing. How do you know if you have compositing turned on? If your desktop uses any animation or transparency, odds are you do.
