Dave Jones' Linux and opensource stuff. Kernel summit 2015 wrap-up. The case of the mysterious disappearing I211. Moving on from Akamai. Future development of Trinity. It’s been a long week. Spent Monday/Tuesday at LSFMM. LWN did their usual great write-up. Which covers everything that was talked about in a lot more detail than my feeble mind can remember. A lot of things from last years event. CPU A bargain at just $4642. Especially when compared to this madness. Wednesday/Thursday, I attended Vault.

Dave Jones' Linux and opensource stuff. Kernel summit 2015 wrap-up. The case of the mysterious disappearing I211. Moving on from Akamai. Future development of Trinity. So much to learn. Even a lot of the bugs that trinity finds aren’t terribly invasive fixes. Screwed up error paths being probably the most common thing it picks up, because nothing else really ever tests them). The more complicated bugs, like a WARN ON being hit? I’m not your guy. At least today. January 26, 2015. January 26, 2015. After d...

Dave Jones' Linux and opensource stuff. Kernel summit 2015 wrap-up. The case of the mysterious disappearing I211. Moving on from Akamai. Future development of Trinity. For the longest time, my backup solution has been a series of rsync scripts that have evolved over time into a crufty mess. Having become spoiled on my mac with time machine, I decided to look into something better that didn’t involve a huge time investment on my part. It came *triple* boxed, unlike the handful of 3TB HGST drives. Installa...

Dave Jones' Linux and opensource stuff. Kernel summit 2015 wrap-up. The case of the mysterious disappearing I211. Moving on from Akamai. Future development of Trinity. Kernel code coverage brain dump. As I did a write-up based on past experiences with this stuff, I figured I’d share. Requires kernel built with. Note: Setting GCOV PROFILE ALL incurs some performance penalty, so any resulting kernel built with this option should never be used for any kind of performance tests. Gcda files containing the run...

Fifi's ramblings: December 2007
http://fifisramblings.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 24, 2007. The walls are finished. Only the window frames and doors need work now. This allowed me to do the flooring. Here is a picture just before I finished the floor. Now I am waiting for some furniture I ordered to arrive so I can setup my office again and get back to work. I need to do some testing of the Angstrom release candidates on the OMAP starter kit. I also need to get Angstrom running on the Xilinx ml403 evaluation board in the next few weeks. Monday, December 17, 2007.

Fifi's ramblings: Ireland
http://fifisramblings.blogspot.com/2008/05/ireland.html
Sunday, May 18, 2008. I was here for the CISDR workshop. The work shop went well, which should make Chris happy. (One of the work shop goals was to help Chris get tenure). I met a lot of new people at the workshop and we had some good discussions on future research ideas in SDR. Hopefully, some joint projects come from the workshop. Ireland is a nice sunny place (the locals do not think the weather has been normal this week). Yesterday, I did the cliff walk. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
