WillCycle: The story of Darkmoor
http://willcycle.blogspot.com/2014/11/the-story-of-darkmoor.html
I think, therefore I cycle. Plym Valley and Drakes Trail. Thursday, 27 November 2014. The story of Darkmoor. The first light was a 50-LED frankenmonster, powered by an old-school Nokia mobile phone. It was alright-ish, and allowed me to cycle in total darkness for up to around 45 minutes, but only at slow speeds as it simply didn't give off enough light. Equally importantly, it lasted for hours. What I didn't know at the time was that my new friend Simon had a very dark (or perhaps light? By this stage I...

WillCycle: What we need is art!
http://willcycle.blogspot.com/2011/06/what-we-need-is-art.html
I think, therefore I cycle. Plym Valley and Drakes Trail. Sunday, 5 June 2011. What we need is art! Earlier today I cycled up the Plym Valley Trail, to Yelverton and back. Officially, the Plym Valley Trail ends at Clearbrook, and Drake's Trail starts from there. Along the way, I stopped at Shaugh Halt to eat a chocolate bar and have a drink. Shaugh halt retains the old platform, and is a rather good spot to stop during a downpour, as you can shelter on the old platform, under the bridge. The couch should...

WillCycle: Devon and Cornwall Police - Episode 2
http://willcycle.blogspot.com/2015/05/devon-and-cornwall-police-episode-2.html
I think, therefore I cycle. Plym Valley and Drakes Trail. Tuesday, 12 May 2015. Devon and Cornwall Police - Episode 2. Back in March 2015 I posted an open letter to the Chief Constable of Devon and Cornwall Police. Asking some rather pointed questions about the lack of support cyclists receive from the force. Before reading the rest of this post, I really suggest you read that post first, as this is a follow-up. In that post I asked 6 specific questions:. 7) What will YOU do about this? I have tried to r...

Bolt On Bicycles: The Willy Warmer
http://boltonbicycles.blogspot.com/2013/01/the-willy-warmer.html
Bolt’s Bicycle Facts. It was only by the expressions on other peoples faces when I mentioned that I had entered an event called the "Willy Warmer", that the realisation that I'd slipped even further into the unquestioning and accepting underworld of distance cycling dawned on me. It was some time later that I learnt that "The Willy Warmer", a 200km Audax winter ride, got its double entendre of a name from its promoter the Willesden Cycling Club. Halls did not disappoint and was able to summon up a notewo...

Bolt On Bicycles: Water, water, every where...
http://boltonbicycles.blogspot.com/2013/02/water-water-every-where.html
Bolt’s Bicycle Facts. Water, water, every where. Decided to take a chance on the scenic route to work for the first time since the flooding in November. It's still looking more like the Thames Estuary than the Thames Valley Park, I'm just glad that the ground was frozen. Meadowland at Thames Valley Park - 19 Feb.
