Stefan Thelenius about Software Testing. Tuesday, 12 February 2013. Agile team tester part 1 - get the balance right. I have been in an agile team for almost a year now and I would like to share some of my thoughts about it compared to my previous experience as a system tester. Working close to application developers and the application code has some benefits and here are some of them:. Early as possible feedback, finding and fixings bugs prior promote to main stream/branch. THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR EXPER...

Stefan Thelenius about Software Testing: QTP: Last chapter for me?
http://abouttesting.blogspot.com/2014/01/qtp-last-chapter-for-me.html
Stefan Thelenius about Software Testing. Thursday, 16 January 2014. QTP: Last chapter for me? This post is to announce that I don't use QTP anymore and that my knowledge and skills of the tool is likely to decrease as time goes by. The reason for me not using QTP is that I have other homegrown tools that I use instead and that my team is building a lot of automated checks in Java instead nowadays. My approach to automation has also switched to more "semi-automation" mainly used to support/enhance testing.

http://abouttesting.blogspot.com/2012/06/after-25-years-with-pcwindows.html
Stefan Thelenius about Software Testing. Wednesday, 27 June 2012. After 25 years with PC/Windows. Today is the first day with my very own MacBook Air ( http:/ www.apple.com/se/macbookair. Very portable (11", 1 kg). Easy to integrate with my network including my old printer. I have an iPhone since a few years back and have been impressed by the usability as well as the smart phone concept (apps). So curious about trying app development myself I have longed for a Mac for a while. James Bach’s Blog. I recen...

Stefan Thelenius about Software Testing: GUI test automation...
http://abouttesting.blogspot.com/2012/09/gui-test-automation.html
Stefan Thelenius about Software Testing. Tuesday, 18 September 2012. Is something I do very rarely these days. Browser dependencies, slow test execution and script maintenance are a few things which makes poor ROI over application life cycle. My advice is to leave the GUI mainly for exploratory and usability testing. Ps I am on Twitter nowadays. Most of the customers that I work with and management that I work with are interested to get Automation Testing. 1 October 2012 at 08:05. 7 October 2013 at 10:46.

Stefan Thelenius about Software Testing: Testing workstation...
http://abouttesting.blogspot.com/2012/11/good-testing-has-some-different.html
Stefan Thelenius about Software Testing. Saturday, 10 November 2012. Good testing has some different parameters…most important is most likely a skilled tester together with a good set of tools. I guess one probably underestimated factor is the hardware involved in the testing process. Production-like test environment could by a key factor but what about your own testing workstation? Why so many monitors? The value/cost of having a good workstation is usually a really good. Thank you Marlena Compton.

Stefan Thelenius about Software Testing: Testing dashboard
http://abouttesting.blogspot.com/2008/06/testing-dashboard.html
Stefan Thelenius about Software Testing. Wednesday, 18 June 2008. I like dashboards.both using them as well as developing them. If based on proper metrics they give a good picture of the current status in a single view. However, finding good metrics in testing is not a trivial task since counting test cases is not a good idea (especially for those of us who mainly do exploratory testing instead of executing scripted test cases). Now we are evaluting the use of my latest creation: AUTDashboard.zip. When y...
