And other things from inside Bryan's head -. In Review: Fairy Tale - A True Story. I did a little webbing during the movie, and it appears this movie is based on the Cottingly Fairies, which are partially detailed here. It was a cute movie, and a pretty good adaptation from the original story, as best as I understood it. The original story seems like it could be the basis for a great alternative history story from the perspective of the unrecanted girls. Posted by Wray Davis @ 11:35 AM. Links to this post.

Ohida: How goes the job?
http://ohida.blogspot.com/2006/10/how-goes-job.html
And other things from inside Bryan's head -. How goes the job? It's a question people ask me often, because they're polite, and because my job is still relatively new, and because I don't do enough other interesting things to make smalltalk easy. The only possible outcome is that I fail to get everything done, or I fail to get it done at a sufficient level of quality. After all, my only really goal is to please them, so why don't they help to create an environment in which I can do that? As I was mulling...

And other things from inside Bryan's head -. You know you have a good tattoo artist when. He invites you back into the shop to touch up the tattoo, not because it really needs it, but because he thinks it could look better, and he likes doing work he's proud of. And he doesn't charge you for it. Posted by Wray Davis @ 9:36 PM. Links to this post. At 7/10/06 4:31 AM. And other things from inside Bryan's head -. Today while Kim was at work I bought a mower and trimmer and mowed the yard for the first time. (I figured I had to do something productive, since I slept in past noon.). While I was mowing, I noticed these little, bright red flowers in the grass:. Does anyone know what they are? They're like mini raspberries, but flowers instead of berries. After I finished mowing, I decided to take a closer look at this trellis/arch thing in the front yard:. Actually, I came...

And other things from inside Bryan's head -. Todd and Cindy are here in Georgia. They've taken a week and a half of their vacation to fly out here for a visit and to see Georgia in all of it's hot, humid summer glory! I'm especially lucky because they're out here on my birthday, as well. I hope they have a good time, and there will be a few pictures to post sometime next week. Posted by Wray Davis @ 11:17 PM. And other things from inside Bryan's head -. In Review: National Treasure. There was a lot to like in this movie. There were Masonic secrets, there was action and excitement, there were hidden underground complexes, there was Sean Bean (he brought more to the movie than anyone else (though Harvey Keitel wasn't bad in his 10 minutes) . There was a lot to roll your eyes about, too. The gratuitous love interest and the gratuitous comic relief were very. Gratuitous (there were even jokes about it within.

And other things from inside Bryan's head -. I had another dream. That I think came from reading Accelerando. Before bedtime. I'm especially sure about this one, because it featured a lobster! And where the last dream might have seemed to have an interesting plot curve, this one actually had narration! Of course, I don't remember the narration any more, but it was somewhere between the opening scences of a Twilight Zone. Episode, and the beginning of Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. I like to talk ...

And other things from inside Bryan's head -. It's time for more shameless self-promotion! Yup, it's that time again! The first clean draft of Act 1 of A Diamond in Snow. Anne, Mom, and now Sarah and I have been working through it over the last few months, and I think it's no great boast to say that it's the best thing I've ever written (and due in no small part to Anne, Mom, and Sarah's help)! If you've been waiting for something substantial to dig into at the Coerablog. And I can send you the Word Doc.
