About The Bansfield Benefice
http://bansfieldbenefice.org.uk/benefice
Sat 20 Aug 2016. What is a benefice? A benefice is "an ecclesiastical property held by a rector, vicar or other church officer". In our case it is the seven parish churches of Cowlinge, Denston, Lidgate, Ousden, Stansfield, Stradishall and Wickhambrook in the charge of a Rector. How did the Benefice get the name Bansfield? Well it is derived from the name of one of the oldest buildings in Wickhambrook. Which is mentioned in the Domesday Book. A Word Of Welcome. Love in a Box.

Sat 20 Aug 2016. Rector's View - August 2016. Our little union of nations continues her sojourn through the years into an uncertain future as we struggle once more with what it is to be, not a part of, but apart from Europe, tracing and retracing the path of our history. For many folk the journey of our lives too can be one of changed directions and retraced steps. Your Rector welcomes calls for Home Communion, Home and Hospital Visiting, Healing and Prayer, Baptisms, Weddings and Bereavement Support.
