Luckily for me, I also had the chance to spend time with my god-daughter, who grows more delightful every time we meet. Saturday, March 12, 2005. Leaving DC for good. There is a backlog of blogs - and since I have only just reached a place with internet - these don't come in the right order . so about a week late . here's leaving DC. Dripping wet and panting from running down the ten flights of stairs - I arrived at 2 minutes past 1pm to check out. Right on time. Problem 3 didn’t blossom fully until Monday. Sylvia and I did indeed meet - as arranged in Madison Gardens - unfortunately the delights of New York escaped us.

When I ask the editor of our magazine where Rwandan girls traditionally hear about this kind of thing, she tells me, "girls used to have Aunties - older women in the community who would tell them.".
