Thursday, June 18. Mom and Daughter Date. Mom and I headed down to Petersburg this morning to a new little donut shop that opened last November. It's called Buttermilk Bakery, and it is AMAZING! Still, it's a great place for an afternoon stroll in the blistering heat, just as long as you keep to well-lit sidewalks and places that smell like shuga, Shuga. I would check this off as a pretty successful mom and daughter date. The grandkids got the benefit of being along for the sweet ride. June 18, 2015.

Thursday, July 9. The mister and I first met while working together in the publications office at our college. He used to draw funny sketches during boring meetings and pass them to me. I didn't stand a chance, really. He made me laugh from the beginning, and he hasn't lost that charm one bit over the last 12 years. If you've read the book, then you know all about Sam and his adventures living alone in the woods with a dugout tree for a home. Bro played the role of Sam.
