Coffee, Crafts and Conversation. Grab a cup of coffee and let me tell you about my day. The next day we were in Dublin, Ireland. We didn’t dock until noon, which was nice since we didn’t have to get up early and rush off the ship. We got a cab from the port into town. The cab dropped us off at the city center. We walked around and got our bearings, the headed to Trinity College, where the Book of Kells. Tools used with the barley). They had some really cool exhibits from some of their past media ads.

Coffee, Crafts and Conversation. Grab a cup of coffee and let me tell you about my day. We had one day at sea before we disembarked in Southampton, England. It was cold and rainy most of the day which was OK since we had to pack and get ready to head to Italy. Once we were off the ship, Tim had arranged for a car service to pick us up and take us to the airport with a stop in Winchester. The driver was waiting for us with this sign. 😄. Winchester was a very quaint town. There is a famous cathedral.

Coffee, Crafts and Conversation. Grab a cup of coffee and let me tell you about my day. We docked in Greenock, Scotland. Greenock is a sleepy port town. There didn’t seem to be much going on even though it was 10 am. We headed toward the train to go into Glasgow. We saw some beautiful flowers in a park we walked through. On the way to the train, we ran into the guy and of course Tim had to take a picture. 😄. On the train a lady sitting behind us asked us how long we were in Glasgow. We saw a Jamie Oliver.

Coffee, Crafts and Conversation. Grab a cup of coffee and let me tell you about my day. We had been to Aruba before, so decided to make it one last beach day. We walked to beach, and found a nice place to sit and have our picnic lunch. Loved this boat with the pelican on top. Walking along the beach. After swimming for awhile we started to walk back toward the ship. Like the saying on this sign. We walked by this sign couldn’t resist taking a picture. The place we rented chairs from. Time to go aboard.

Coffee, Crafts and Conversation. Grab a cup of coffee and let me tell you about my day. We had hired a van for the day for 12 people. The first place they took us was into Cobn (pronounced Cove). This is the place we should of docked, but because of the change of plans there was another ship there that had this berth. Cobn is a very nice port town. We saw some of the town and the church there. From there it was on to Blarney Castle. The gardens there were beautiful. It was very rainy and cold. Leave a Re...

August 5, 2015. Officially started… Don’t have time to hold on to this thing…. Big stitches require big frames! This is the same setup that I use for anything that doesn’t comfortably fit in the standard ” Q ” frames. If anyone hasn’t tried the “ottlite” light bulbs and lamps you really should go get one right now. 5 thoughts on “ Officially started… Don’t have time to hold on to this thing…. A Weekend in the Badlands – prairiebazaar

Vintage, Upcycled, Handmade. A Weekend in the Badlands. August 12, 2015. August 12, 2015. If you’ve ever visited Drumheller then you know how awesomely cool the badlands are! We spent the weekend camping in a tiny town called Wayne for a wedding that took place at The Last Chance Saloon. The small town has tons of character, from rusty trucks to torn up railway tracks – and that’s not even taking into consideration the amazing hoodoos! Out past this small town came across an antique store! Sounds like a ...

August 17, 2015. Definatelt didn’t get as much done as I would’ve liked to. But any progress on this beast is a good day. The “antique violet” next to the brown has me a little worried. I was unable to find a picture of this piece completed. But it does actually look like a muted grey when under certain lighting. I have decided I’m going to continue until I know for sure if the pattern works or not. Pattern printed…. Check,. All threads purchased and organized… Check,. 2 thoughts on “ Slow progress.

August 5, 2015. Always lock your box……. Ok So… Ferrets… Little balls of furry mischief… No that’s not a strong enough word… Pure terrors may be more correct… Anyways I happen to be owned by three of them. They are sneaky little buggers who trick you… Like when you are in the kitchen cooking supper and you suddenly hear CRASH! Squeeks of glee follow… Naturally…. I then have to spend the next three hours reorganizing it all…. And people ask why I say I can never get anything done… This is why…. Lol I have ...

Coffee, Crafts and Conversation. Grab a cup of coffee and let me tell you about my day. Our next stop is Gibraltar. We have been there many times, so decided to have a late start. The airport is along that border and cars and people can cross it. When a plane is landing they stop everyone, land the plane and then you can cross again. Our f...
