Thoughts and views of a former trolley dolly. Tuesday, 22 December 2009. Tis the Season to be Grateful. Glitzy Christmas decor around City Hall in Singapore. I am looking forward to Christmas more this year than last and it's because I will be home for the holidays, where there is a pretty long line-up of warm Christmas-New Yearsie events to attend. My last Christmas was spent on the quiet streets of London. 2009 has marked the year when:. 1 Joyce, Michiel and Keira moved to Singapore. Christmas tree at ...

Thoughts and views of a former trolley dolly. Wednesday, 27 January 2010. Making the Most in Johannesburg. Security has always been a big issue in Jo'burg. I've been told stories by numerous sources of how unsafe it is. Hearsay must always be taken with a pinch of salt and more often than not people tend to exaggerate negativity. Once you get to know a place, it appears much safer than before. One of the perks of this job is that we get to stay in some of the best hotels and this time was no exception.

Thoughts and views of a former trolley dolly. Saturday, 11 July 2009. There are times when I need to psych myself to get out, even in a place like Paris. Having great company is always a motivation to explore. Adeline had a EuRail pass she had purchased for her holiday the previous month, which she wanted to maximise while it was still valid. We had a few places in mind and based on availability of seats (limited seats are allocated for EuRail pass holders on all trains), we decided on Lille. I had choco...

Thoughts and views of a former trolley dolly. Sunday, 28 June 2009. We had lip-smacking, finger-licking, fall-of-the-bone barbecued pork ribs at Tony Roma's. Ernest had a craving and although I was more inclined to Asian food, we decided to gather Dave, Kel and Vicky there. As with most eateries on Saturday evenings in Singapore, we had to wait for about half an hour to be seated (yes, I've accepted this part of Singaporean culture and people DO get in line for food). While we're on the subject of food.

Love the Me: It's tough beyond comprehension
http://jiunzhe.blogspot.com/2010/08/its-tough-beyond-comprehension.html
Thursday, August 26, 2010. It's tough beyond comprehension. Dealing with people is so different in dealing with computers. When you are stuck in a software bug, you could just lose your cool on the PC. But when you are stuck with arguing with people, you can't just budge in. You need wisdom. I am struggle, yes. but I believe God called me for a reason. Run For The Nation. Mei Lin's Homecook Foodblog. Its tough beyond comprehension. View my complete profile.

Thoughts and views of a former trolley dolly. Monday, 19 October 2009. Is a special month. It marks Ernest and my first anniversary as husband and wife and our 10th as friends. It also marks two years of working in Singapore, making me a bond-free employee of one of the best airlines in the world. It has been a colourful, wonderful two years of my life in the sky. I am savouring it while I can. Posted by Janice Loh. Monday, 12 October 2009. The imperial mosque has so become an icon of Istanbul because it...

Love the Me: To honor God and parents
http://jiunzhe.blogspot.com/2010/01/to-honor-god-and-parents.html
Thursday, January 21, 2010. To honor God and parents. Sometimes, definition of honoring can be defined in a very narrow way. What is honoring God got to do with honoring parents? One is a supreme being, ever majestic ever reigning, ever lasting.another is but mere mortals. Why God in the bible say to Moses, honor your parents for you will inherit the land when the first 4 commandments talked about honoring God the Almighty? Ter, God has a plan for making you His own. Remember, were just His servant, ...

Thoughts and views of a former trolley dolly. Thursday, 25 November 2010. Put, put, put* All The Way To Pengerang. Having been there once before, E and I were quite eager to experiment organising a half-day trip to Pengerang, a town at the southeast part of Johor. Since we were quite familiar with the transport arrangements between Singapore and Tanjung Pengelih (nearest jetty to Pengerang), we figured it would be quite safe to invite a few friends to join us for lunch at the small fishing village. Consi...
