Saturday, May 30, 2015. Lance has put me in a bad position. As I'm fumbling with my phone and half heartedly "spotting" him, he's climbing. I keep saying, "high enough, Isaac. That's good. Stop. For reals, Stop! Eventually, he did and I could breathe again. It was fun to see him perched up in a new tree- viewing his world from a different perspective. I could tell how big and powerful he felt to be high in its limbs. Eventually we had to go, though. All good things must come to an end, right? I haven't k...

coffeewithkrista: October 2013

http://www.coffeewithkrista.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html

Friday, October 11, 2013. On the picnic table. That is where I found them. Standing on the top of the picnic table, jumping up and down. Both boys, one 3 and a half, the other 13 months. I had only turned my back for a minute. maybe two minutes? And all I could think about was that Will was barely walking at 13 months. First Day of Preschool. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). What I might be up to. Books I'm looking forward to reading. Christians at the Border. The New Jim Crow. What I've read lately. The dist...

coffeewithkrista: March 2013

Thursday, March 28, 2013. From the mouth of Will. Recently I was opening the window in Will's room after his nap and he said,. I don't like those birds tweeting at me.". Poor kid, it is only gonna get worse- there will be more birds. He is really aware of sounds and is constantly asking Lance and I, "what that noise is? Recently, he asked me, then answered himself. It's the sound of flowers blooming.". Who told you that, I asked him. I told me that, momma.". Yet he still is sweet. And Will wasn't far away.

coffeewithkrista: December 2012

http://www.coffeewithkrista.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html

Tuesday, December 18, 2012. I kind of want to walk around singing "I'll be home for Christmas. ". I'm looking forward to being with my family. The anticipation has me remembering the last Christmas we were together in 2010 and all the silliness we experienced- from laughing at Myles and Will to completing a monstrous Star Wars puzzle, to burning nut bread and playing music together. In other random news, I believe Will wrote his first poem today. I'm green like a crocodile. I'm green like a frog. My Name...

coffeewithkrista: January 2015

http://www.coffeewithkrista.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html

Thursday, January 15, 2015. After this long intermission. I'm back. And I feel old or at least older. Maybe it's the intensely hipster bar that I'm sitting in at the moment having a "mommy break." Or maybe it's because my brother-in-law was at a work meeting for his tech company in Seattle when he realized I used to babysit one of his coworkers. Like legitimately babysit- his coworker was like 4 years old and I was nearly out of high school. Anyways. that is not what I want to write about. I'm trying to ...

THE XAVIERS: 6th Months and Zion's First Christmas!

http://jazzandterraxavier.blogspot.com/2010/12/6th-months-and-zions-first-christmas.html

Two have become 3! Friday, December 31, 2010. 6th Months and Zion's First Christmas! It's hard to believe that Zion is half a year old already! Every day is so much fun - watching him learn and grow is a daily blessing! He's eating solids now, but is quite picky. Apple sauce and yams are not favorites, but I'm slowly sneaking them into his diet. Avocado and bananas are a hit thus far. With some propping, he can sit on his own to play. He loves to talk and squeal and laugh and scream! Zion and Uncle Peter.

THE XAVIERS: October 2010

http://jazzandterraxavier.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Two have become 3! Saturday, October 9, 2010. Life, and all the love in it, creates in me the most grateful spirit deep within. I have said many times since becoming Zion's mother, that I have never known love like this before; this bottomless depth of overwhelming love and awe for my son especially, but also for my family and friends who surround and support us. We need others in our lives and we are so blessed from above to have one another to share this love with. Zion and his Great Grandma. He didn't...

THE XAVIERS: September 2010

http://jazzandterraxavier.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html

Two have become 3! Monday, September 20, 2010. Being a Stay At Home Mom. Our son is laughing and giggling and shouting and screaming all of the time now - he loves to have a conversation with you (although he usually yells in delight when he's really happy and excited :). He is beginning to reach out for his animal friends on his play mat since he's starting to realize the power of his little hands and all that they can do. It's truly a marvel to watch him slowly discover himself in the big wide world.

THE XAVIERS: July 2009

http://jazzandterraxavier.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html

Two have become 3! Saturday, July 25, 2009. Okay, We Admit, We're Horrible Bloggers! So it's almost been a year without a post. I doubt anyone even checks anymore, but I've gotten sick of seeing this really old post for so long every time I go on the internet (it's our homepage). Well, not entirely sick because at least the last post was our fabulous family and friends wedding, but sick enough to want to update. Thanks for actually tuning in! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
