Wednesday, September 28, 2016. Newsela is a current event digital critical reading site. Every student in 7th and 8th grade has access by signing in through their @apps4pps.net account. Our goal is to have students read 3-5 articles each week. To receive credit, students must take the reading comprehension quiz. Newsela articles can be used for reading log credit. Newsela works on any device as long as the student signs into their google apps account. There is also an iphone/ipad app!

As we begin the 2016-17 school year, students can expect to work together to create a strong literate community of learners where every voice matters. In other news, PPS has subscribed to a program called Newsela. Saturday, May 30, 2009. Last night I went to the FBC Home School graduation which is for the homeschoolers at my church. It was crazy to think that I was right there two years ago! There were some great speeches and special music done by them, and the pictures of their childhood were so great! Afterwards we went to the reception and ate some food and signed our friends memory books. I can't believe all my younger friends, the one I was a mentor to as a senior, have graduated now! Me, Tiffany and Melissa.

We, me included, should live for what's important and not just live our life day to day doing whatever we please.
