Welcome to the Cognitive Development Labs at Wesleyan University! Our research projects explore how young children perceive, learn about, and think about the world. We use simple (and fun) games to find out more about how kids think about numbers, space, language, and people. The Cognitive Development Labs include the Yellow Lab, directed by Dr. Hilary Barth. Research Group for Cognitive Development. We are a group of psychologists conducting research in various fields of cognitive science, related to categorization and cognitive development. Another part of our research group studies cognitive development in children from 1 year (infancy-toddlerhood) to 10 years (primary school age).
