finding ninki: October 2014
http://findingninki.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
The random ponderings of an ordinary person. Tuesday, 28 October 2014. It might not seem a big thing, but the little one has learned to open screw tops. At first, I thought it was a fluke, but he's done it about four times now - not that I've seen him do it, I've just seen the after effects. Saturday, 18 October 2014. Wednesday, 8 October 2014. I think we've had one or two unaided steps (him walking from one piece of furniture to another or to me), but I can't be sure because I wasn't properly paying att...

finding ninki: Toddler ailments
http://findingninki.blogspot.com/2015/02/toddler-ailments.html
The random ponderings of an ordinary person. Wednesday, 11 February 2015. Nothing worse than finding your toddler in bed with his face covered in blood. Thought it was a brain hemorrhage. I suspected as much last night when he signed 'pain' and I asked where the pain was and he kept hitting his right ear (the one with the infection in it). My clever boy. And my poor, poor, unhappy, hurty little boy. Perhaps it'll be a case of dinner with a toddler on my lap, then bed for us all. Follow me by email. Varia...

finding ninki: March 2015
http://findingninki.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
The random ponderings of an ordinary person. Sunday, 15 March 2015. I slept terribly last night and woke too early, both facts facilitated by my toddler, who I believe is teething again. So, forget romantic notions of Mother's Day! Friday, 13 March 2015. My son's dubious choice of toy to take into the car today was a pair of his daddy's socks, which he cuddled for approximately half an hour. He has now just retrieved a pair of my old holey socks from the rubbish bin and has taken to cuddling my feet.

finding ninki: The concept of friendship
http://findingninki.blogspot.com/2015/02/the-concept-of-friendship.html
The random ponderings of an ordinary person. Thursday, 26 February 2015. The concept of friendship. I'm pretty sure, a few days ago, my (then almost) 17 month old signed that we should see more friends (having spent the best part of a month being ill indoors), but as he'd neither signed 'more' nor 'friends' before, I wasn't totally certain. I didn't think he knew what friends were, for starters! Lovely to see your thoughts. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). There was an error in this gadget.

finding ninki: November 2014
http://findingninki.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
The random ponderings of an ordinary person. Wednesday, 26 November 2014. At 615pm, post teatime, post bath time, all bedtime books having been read and milk having been consumed, my son decided he couldn't sleep and he climbed onto my chest, dropped his head and put his little arms around my body, sighed deeply and began to relax. It took around 20 minutes for him to fall asleep and every time I tried to decant him into his 3-sided cot next to me, he whimpered a little and clung more tightly to me.

finding ninki: December 2014
http://findingninki.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
The random ponderings of an ordinary person. Monday, 29 December 2014. There was also something more, that I failed to convey when I tried to express it myself. It was about acknowledging that I have many privileges, only one of them being my skin colour. I acknowledge all of them and have done so for many years. I have felt very lucky for these 'gifts' and have tried to make the most of what I have been given. A key point in the article, for me, that I would like to share with you, is this:. Apple et al...

finding ninki: Latest skills of the toddler
http://findingninki.blogspot.com/2015/02/latest-skills-of-toddler.html
The random ponderings of an ordinary person. Thursday, 26 February 2015. Latest skills of the toddler. I've just experienced my first toddler-speaking-to-boob - I was jiggling them around immediately before bedtime to see which one to give him and I think he thought I was trying to find them, so when I got it out, he shouted "there! As in "there it is! My clever little boy. Finally, he is beginning to eat - hurrah! Last night he had Thai red curry veggies (cauliflower, potato, chickpea and tomato) with c...

finding ninki: Precious things
http://findingninki.blogspot.com/2015/06/precious-things.html
The random ponderings of an ordinary person. Friday, 19 June 2015. I wondered what went through his little head as he carefully selected these items. I still can't imagine. It is a good reminder to enjoy the present moment and to find joy and satisfaction in the small things of life. This morning we were contented. July 16, 2015. Lovely to see your thoughts. finding ninki: Breastfeeding
http://findingninki.blogspot.com/2015/01/breastfeeding.html
The random ponderings of an ordinary person. Sunday, 11 January 2015. Okay, so firstly I resisted the urge to have the title of this as 'extended breastfeeding'. This is the common term in this country for feeding beyond, what, six months or a year? What's so weird about that? Lovely to see your thoughts. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
