Lina in Argentina: Don't forget to live
http://linainargentina.blogspot.com/2009/06/dont-forget-to-live.html
Thursday, June 18, 2009. Don't forget to live. Today a cab driver asked me if I have a boyfriend. When I answered no, he asked me why. I said because I don't have time. He said, yes, you're young, focus on school, be your own person. He laughed. Then he looked at me in the rear view mirror and said, don't forget to live. That is because your life just became a whimsical yet poignant indie film! Seriously though, I cant tell you how much I love that that happened. June 18, 2009 at 11:11 PM.

Lina in Argentina: July 2009
http://linainargentina.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 2, 2009. When I was about nine years old, my family took a trip to Blackwater Falls, West Virginia. We went in March and there was a blizzard, but we were only there for a few days, so one afternoon we went tobogganing. No one was around so they hadn’t turned on the lift (like a ski lift, only for sleds! Martín, me, and Michael. Who would have thought that the first place I saw wild flamingos would be the place I went to to see glaciers? I would have said, no, gross! I was only off the hor...

Lina in Argentina: February 2009
http://linainargentina.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 24, 2009. Possible internship and photos from Las Heras. The purpose of this post is really just to share some photos. However, three exciting things have happened in the last few days:. It’s not a done deal yet, but Inés is going to call them and see what we can do. 2 I learned that one of the major opera companies here in BA is opening their season (in March) with La Traviata. Alfajores (cookie sandwiches made with dulce de leche). Links to this post. Saturday, February 21, 2009.

Lina in Argentina: Tengo ganas de hacer anything but schoolwork
http://linainargentina.blogspot.com/2009/04/tengo-ganas-de-hacer-anything-but.html
Monday, April 27, 2009. Tengo ganas de hacer anything but schoolwork. I’ve had quite an eventful week. I started my internship, attended a peña with the folks from said internship, got invited to join another choir, went to a South African theatre festival, and made my first two Argentine Facebook Friends. I have now worked two days at La Alameda. . I am interning there eight hours per week with David, another IFSA student. . So far we’ve only been working in the library. . I think it’s pretty b...

Lina in Argentina: Great food
http://linainargentina.blogspot.com/2009/04/great-food.html
Thursday, April 30, 2009. I could go on and on about Argentine dishes. The pasta, the pizza, the tortas, the pastries—all the things that Argentines are miraculously able to eat and still maintain their size 4 figures. But I’ll sign off for now, I hear a salad calling my name. I can't believe there are no comments here. This is definitely my favorite blog post you've made so far, buuuut you know me and my love (lust? May 8, 2009 at 1:22 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Things I love about BA.

Lina in Argentina: Devil's Throat
http://linainargentina.blogspot.com/2009/06/devils-throat.html
Monday, June 1, 2009. Well, it’s been a very long time since my last update. My apologies. After three months this really feels more like living than traveling and I have fewer exciting stories to share. Also, I’ve had to stop pretending that I’m not really in school. This week I have a paper due and an exam, and next week I have two exams. I am super excited about it. Last weekend, however, I traveled! Does one refer to waterfalls in the plural or singular? Paraguay on the left, Brasil on the right.
