Thursday, January 29, 2015. At Christmas, while the girls were singing softly to themselves and playing, Tikvah stopped to ask me a question. Who is the witch's mother and why is there a witch? Mama: "What are you talking about? Tiki: "The witch's mother Mary, did nothing take in scorn" (O tidings of comfort and joy. from God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen). Thursday, January 22, 2015. In November we got to have the whole family in for a bit- varying lengths for varying folks. My dad first, and we promptly took him ice skating where he got to fracture his wrist! He had a plate put in a few days later- but in the meantime, he helped unload and set up 250 new chairs at Olive Tree! He just doesn't know when to stop! What a blessing he is in so many ways. Saturday, April 29, 2006. Tikvah Abigail (TEEK-vah) entered the world on April 26, 2006 at 3:08pm. Thank you God for a new little girl! Tikvah was 7 lbs, 10 oz and 20.5 inches long. She has a full head of dark hair, and loves to sleep! Tikvah also has a cleft lip/palate, so she will face some correctives surgeries in the first bit of her life. Saturday, January 24, 2015. They Might Be Giants. So relieving my younger days. I got from the library "They Might Be Giants: Flood". So Much. Fun. For years I've sung to myself "make a little birdhouse in your soul, and while you're at it, leave the nightlight on inside the birdhouse in your soul.". And I am indoctrinating my children too! I love that they have the same sense of humor as we do! Yes, a little twisted, but hey, isn't that more fun? Seth and Jacob, can you still sing all the songs?
