Friday, August 14, 2015. This will be our third full day at home. The trip home on Tuesday was very tiring, but each day since has been a bit better. Sunday, August 9, 2015. Things seems to be going well. The doctors seem happy. No alarms from the machine which is good. Tests all seem to be making the doctors happy. X-rays, ultrasounds and so on. Weight is going down daily, finally. They are used to Heart Failure patients that eat too much sodium and started treating us as one of those. Finally they see that we came in in pretty good shape. Easier now to get in and out of bed. Was tough at first. Pretty boring days now without doctors all the time.

Colleen and John: Saturday Afternoon

Good Night, Monday. Saturday, August 8, 2015. John had another good night sleep last night. We were very busy this morning. He had his first shower in 13 days, and said it felt real good. It took an hour since his PICC line and his drive line had to be covered to make sure they stayed dry. There is a special bag that his LVAD goes in to make sure it stays dry also. It is somewhat like a messenger bag that goes across his chest. It takes some getting used to. We walked three times before lunch.

We're expecting the contractor to come on Thursday to put in the beam that will keep the house from falling down as well as widened the 1950's steep stairs! Wednesday, May 2, 2012. In a nut shell: Made an extra 8x8 of layered enchiladas for dinner tonight. Left it on the stove to cool since we didn't eat it. Forgot about it during Awana and after Awana it was covered in ants, so not happy about ants right not. I really don't like ants, I've been sugar/boraxing them for the past couple days. Sábado, 9 de julio de 2016. Mientras se duchaba volvió a acordarse de que no se había acordado, una vez más, de buscar el significado de la palabra “guayoyo”. La había leído en un cuento en el que el protagonista la leía en una novela y tampoco sabía lo que significaba. Se dijo que la buscaría en cuanto saliera de la ducha. Cuando salió de la ducha su hijo reclamaba no sé qué de unos calcetines y ella, mojada aún, tuvo que acudir en su ayuda, después se vistió a toda prisa y acompañó a su hijo al colegio.
