Hot Mess: Restaurant Review: The Tattooed Moose
http://southernbel.blogspot.com/2012/02/restaurant-review-tattooed-moose.html
Friday, February 24, 2012. Restaurant Review: The Tattooed Moose. Sorry for the lack of photos- they've disappeared from my iPhone :(. Walking into the Tattooed Moose you half expect to see the Royal Tenenbaums engaging in a hair of the dog brunch. The vibe is a touch hipster, a touch pub- it’s a nice combination. As the name suggests, there is, in fact, a moose. It will greet you as you saddle up the the bar for some beer or, like I did, for some duck fat fries. Posted by Annabel Jones. Subscribe to: Po...

Hot Mess: The Best Sandwich in Charleston
http://southernbel.blogspot.com/2011/06/best-sandwich-in-charleston.html
Wednesday, June 8, 2011. The Best Sandwich in Charleston. Some of the best places to eat in Charleston, S.C. don’t have tables or chairs. Case in point: Street Hero, a food vendor that sells Vietnamese banh mi sandwiches and tacos downtown every Saturday at the Farmers’ Market in Marion Square from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm Street Hero serves up sandwiches and tacos so good they will change your mind about what ‘street meat’ means. 8221; I said. My friend ordered the lemongrass chicken. There are no fancy sa...

Hot Mess: TacoLu
http://southernbel.blogspot.com/2010/11/tacolu.html
Thursday, November 4, 2010. Is a small, fun and local Mexican restaurant in Jacksonville Beach, Fla specializing in a fresh twist on Mexican traditions. TacoLu as a concept, is great. TacoLu as a restaurant is a let down. Other blogs and critics who have reviewed this taqueria with poor parking have given it generous applause. Frankly they have been far too generous. After having eaten there half a dozen times I remain unimpressed. The decor of TacoLu. Such a great concept (have I said this before? Unfor...

Hot Mess: Jennifer Aniston and Thai Beef Salad
http://southernbel.blogspot.com/2011/03/jennifer-aniston-and-thai-beef-salad.html
Monday, March 14, 2011. Jennifer Aniston and Thai Beef Salad. It never fails; around this time of year women start sweating and it isn't from the rising temperatures. Beach and pool days are around the corner and none of us look quite like the Victoria's Secret swimsuit models wearing the bikinis we just bought. Honestly, I am not interested in looking like Adriana or Heidi. I just want to look like Jennifer Aniston:. 1/2 lb beef flank steak. 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes. 1 tsp ground ginger. 2 Dice th...

Hot Mess: Restaurant Review: Husk
http://southernbel.blogspot.com/2011/02/restaurant-review-husk.html
Monday, February 28, 2011. At first glance, the February 24 lunch menu made my deep-pit-of-the-stomach hunger only more intense. It was difficult to choose between the fried (homemade) bread and butter pickles with tarragon cream, pork rillette with pain de mie, pear butter and other accompaniments and Caper’s Inlet Blade Oysters with Husk muscadine vinegar and shaved fennel to start but my love of bivalves won me over. Would I return to Husk? I suppose I will. Posted by Annabel Jones. Sugar Cookie Ice C...
