Yoshiko Jinzenji, Quilter | Sew Fussy
https://sewfussy.wordpress.com/2007/11/14/yoshiko-jinzenji-quilter
Keeping up with the Fussy/s. Yoshiko Jinzenji, Quilter. I have never been extremely interested in traditional quilts, but Yoshiko Jinzenji’s. Work is so different than what I envision when I hear the term “quilt,” and she’s definitely an artist worth checking out! You can see some of Yoshiko Jinzenji’s beautiful quilts on her website, and there are also a couple of books. I am also really digging her fabric line. Isn’t this little elephant marvelous? Christmas Crafting? | Sew Fussy
https://sewfussy.wordpress.com/2007/11/21/christmas-crafting
Keeping up with the Fussy/s. This post is a supplement to my previous book report. I now have pictures and a plan, hooray! I made a promise to stay off the computer all Thanksgiving day, which leaves me some time to try a bit o’ Christmas crafting. I think the book I’m most excited to experiment with is The Cute Book. Just a little note, of course the animals can be made as large as you like, but actual size of the projects in the book is very mini. Isn’t the index (above) adorable? I’m going to se...

Keeping up with the Fussy/s. Archive for June 2007. Simplicity 4020 Black Linen Dress (Japanese Pattern Book). I’ve gotta step it up, I’m a blog slacker. I don’t know how crafty people with children maintain such cool and interesting blogs! I can hardly find time to bathe myself, let alone take care of Anya and Zella, eat my meal-a-day, clean up after myself (okay, I don’t actually do this) , and compose blog entries that are worthy of a read. I’ll have to try harder. And now for some fuzzy modeling acti...

Keeping up with the Fussy/s. Archive for October 2007. Helloween Sewing (Simplicity 8953). What was I *thinking? I could have spent as little as $20 and 45 minutes on a Little Mermaid or Princess costume for Anya but instead I decided to try and thin my fabric stash and make her this poufy insane ensemble that may not even fit her. Must get back to hand sewing the lining in so that I can go to sleep. I gathered well over 10 feet of fabric tonight. Errgh… remind me never to do this again! But I don’...

House | Sew Fussy

Keeping up with the Fussy/s. I’ve been sick and bedridden all weekend so here is a superfluous post…. I always end up with these random pictures of our house on my hard drive so I thought I’d share a few here. I know, you can’t actually see much of the overall house, but it’s the best I’ve got right now! November 11, 2007 at 10:53 pm. Posted in General Dorkiness. Laquo; College Sketchbook. College Sketchbook | Sew Fussy
https://sewfussy.wordpress.com/2007/11/09/college-sketchbook
Keeping up with the Fussy/s. Proof that I really do need the Fashion Drawing book I just bought (but haven’t had time to look at… damn you NaBloPoMo. For being so needy). It’s not that I think these are terrible, but they’re the only ones I can find that I am not completely embarrassed of. I sketched pretty much daily through five years of college, so it’s not like I didn’t get enough practice. November 9, 2007 at 11:51 pm. Posted in General Dorkiness. Laquo; Book Report. MIA | Sew Fussy

Keeping up with the Fussy/s. I took a little break from posting because of some rough days but it’s all good, and Super Troopers is on Comedy Central right now so I’m happy. Meow don’t go thinking I’ve just been sitting back, eating candy (um, I have), and watching TV, because I’m actually not slacking – I’ve got so many projects going on right now it’s crazy. My new blog and website are nearly finished, and soon I’ll be able to show off all of the beautiful artwork that Marjorie. I’ve got a huge b...

Keeping up with the Fussy/s. Archive for July 2007. Linen Dress from Japanese Pattern Book – Revisited. I finished the linen dress I posted about. A week or so ago and have worn it out. Every seam even though I don’t enjoy it). I would fix it. You can see that it’s kind of funky looking in the pic below, and one side is a little worse than the other. July 29, 2007 at 3:35 pm. Keeping up with the Fussy/s. Archive for September 2007. Fabric Buying Binge…. I can’t seem to stop buying fabric. Anyone know of a 12-step program? Better yet, does anybody have project ideas for me, since I’ve no idea what to make? Denyse Schmidt and Kaffe Fasset wovens-. Various knit fabrics, including the softest knit fabric I have possibly ever felt (top left), which also happens to be a Japanese import. Looooove it. Aren’t those mushrooms adorable as well?
