Wednesday, 4 July 2012. The odd one out. L, T, R, D and H here this evening. Pub is got a few locals in, and has new seat covers so is looking nice and has had lots of TLC. New barman in training but is being watched over by landlord so all good. Robin hood by springhead 4% L says traditional bitter, chessnut Brown lightly hopped. With a very delicate flavour. Over all a good session ale. After drinking more we all decided it has lovely complex flavours that balence well. A very good session ale.

Another being drank is flame runner by Adnams 3.9% D says fruity gingery with a slight bitter taste. Has a lovely long finish. L thinks much the same with a very nice after taste. T adds a thirst quencher. Explorer by adnams 4.3%L says hell yeah hits the spot R seconded this opinion. Wednesday, 11 July 2012. New inn curry night.

Wednesday, 8 August 2012. Present today L, D, C, H. In the fat cat today which is partly because the free drink voucher in the (Colchester) Gazette which of course we are definately happy to use. Check out Gazette-news.co.uk. D started with Wherry by Woodfordes 3.8% he says its good holds up well. Great session ale. L adds you can't really go wrong with this, and is a good thirst quencher. C has had Honey by fat cat 4.2% its really nice pubs own brew. With a great lasting rich flavour.
