Antarctica and Beyond

Norway: Lofoten Islands Ski Touring. Spring is happening everywhere else in the world but here in the Lofoten Islands, Norway. It is still quite wintery. I am up here guiding ski touring in the mountains surrounding the beautiful village of Kabelvaag. Almost all ski tours start and end at the ocean. Its been a great two weeks so far up here and a great break from the madness of Chamonix where I am living now. Here are some photos so far from the season. Paul and Ben getting ready. I think there is a cert...

Our Canadian Cuties: March 2011

http://lscj2008.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Tuesday, March 29, 2011. I have a ton to blog about, but I couldn't wait on this one. As most of you know, I cut Cora's hair. It is easy because she has layered curls so poor cut jobs are easily camouflaged. Tonight, however, Cora thought she would take it upon herself to help Mommy out. Silly me forgot how tall Cora is now and that she can reach many places. Here's how it went down. Beauty and the Beast. Carries around a chapter book just like Belle. In Cora's case, she is partial to "The Hobbit". This ...

Our Canadian Cuties: June 2012

http://lscj2008.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html

Monday, June 4, 2012. And Beau Make Four. Beau 15 hours old. Beau Bridger Jeffers made his debut on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at 4:47pm. He weighed 7lbs 10oz and was 22 in long. His head circumference was 14 inches. Beau's arrival pretty much came out of nowhere. I had been feeling a little crampy the weekend Beau arrived, but it was nothing that struck me as this could be it. Why would you ask that"? I quickly replied with "I KNOW! Such a loving moment from my end. Ha! My first moments with my son. Mara, L...

Our Canadian Cuties: April 2011

http://lscj2008.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html

Friday, April 29, 2011. Easter morning at the Jeffers' household was quite fun. The Easter Bunny was very good to her. She got a Mr. Potato Head, 2 dresses, sunglasses, side walk chalk and candy. Grandma Brandis also sent her a dress, two movies (Tangled and Bambi), and more panties. The Easter Bunny must have been lightheaded after visiting our house because he also blew up 25 balloons! Can you spot the Easter eggs? My ironing board has become a living room staple. Already an outfit change! On the Satur...

Our Canadian Cuties: December 2011

http://lscj2008.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html

Sunday, December 25, 2011. Daddy bringing the tree inside. Cora showing off some sap on her fingers. When we tell Cora to put her hands down, she always does the opposite. Every ornament needed a kiss. Surprisingly, or not, there are no candy canes left on the tree. My birthday dinner. Cora wore her dancing skirt and did a show for me at the restaurant. It was the best birthday dinner ever. Cora took about 20 pictures of Daddy that night. Back to the giant gift bag from Grandma Jo. Snug as a bug in a rug.

Our Canadian Cuties: November 2010

http://lscj2008.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html

Tuesday, November 16, 2010. It turns out I have used up my 1GB of space allotted for pictures and videos on Blogger. But, not to worry! I am going to purchase more space as it's quite cheap. To top it off, our camera broke. It might be done for good. We dug out our old one for the time being. We may just be in the market for a new camera at Christmas. I am thinking a Nikon D90 and following it up with some local photography classes. ;) Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Friday, November 5, 2010.

Our Canadian Cuties: October 2011

http://lscj2008.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html

Sunday, October 30, 2011. A Cozy Colorado Cabin. Paddled around in the canoe, sat by the warm fire, enjoyed the sun, and just had a lovely time. Cora was Aunt Carol's right hand gal. She loved helping tend the fire. George is great with Cora. She loves Georgie. It is amazing how much these two dogs put up with. Cora and Grandma Jo reading. Cora was pretty much glued to Grandma this trip. Cora is starting to recognize family members, making trips like these that much better. The front of the cabin. Cora's...

Our Canadian Cuties: CO Comes To AB

http://lscj2008.blogspot.com/2012/04/co-comes-to-ab.html

Tuesday, April 24, 2012. CO Comes To AB. Grandpa Bob and Grandpa Jim made their last journey from Denver to Edmonton to visit Blondie and Co before our big move back to the States. We had a wonderful long weekend with them. Alberta spring weather cooperated and we had our nicest weekend of 2012 thus far. What luck we had! Chasing the kite to help get it back in the sky. The Edmonton skyline. Not a bad looking city. Lee getting busted by local law enforcement. This has to be one of my favorite photos ever.

Our Canadian Cuties: Getting Ready for The Boy

http://lscj2008.blogspot.com/2012/04/getting-ready-for-boy.html

Monday, April 9, 2012. Getting Ready for The Boy. Since we rarely dressed Cora in anything other than footed PJ's until she was 6 months old, I imagine we'll prefer the same for Beau. So, I've been shopping for lots of footed PJ's and cozy little clothes. So FUN! The crab PJ's will more than likely be his going home outfit from the hospital. It is Lee's favorite. This is my favorite outfit. It is just a long-sleeved kimono style onesie. I am a total glutton for kimono onesies and gowns. CO Comes To AB.

Our Canadian Cuties: December 2010

http://lscj2008.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

Monday, December 27, 2010. For Cora's Birthday blog, I feel as though it is necessary that I start with a dialogue between Cora and Lee from Christmas Eve rather than her birthday. We're sitting at the dinner table eating baked salmon and green beans. Lee and I are done eating, but Cora is busy going to town on her third helping. Lee: My goodness Cora. Are you our Omega-3 baby? Cora: (stern look {see photo for example}) I two! Lee: (laughing very hard) Oh sorry. You are two, not Omega-3. She is currently...

Col Dan's viewpoint

Monday, March 19, 2018. PUTIN’S PLAN MOVES FORWARD. So the Tsar was won yet another election? Well, what seems to have “shocked” some is the fact most of the West didn’t seem to pay attention to the results. Now, everyone knows the results were a forgone conclusion, but the amount of time spent on the topic, other than the BBC and England, who has a bit of an “issue” going on with Putin, was truly minimal. So, is that it? The Tsar is in for at least another six years? Time to move on to the next topic?

Tuesday, March 20, 2018. Eight Years of Gibson! Gibson recently had a birthday, eight years old! He was the dog I dreamed of in the first paragraph of my very first book. The dog I secured online for a farm before I even bought a place to call our own. And the dog I picked up from the Albany airport in early summer of 2010 and brought home to his own 6-acre sheep-filled abode! Posted by Jenna Woginrich at 10:44 AM. Links to this post. Monday, March 19, 2018. In an interview with his wife, Kristin Bell.
