Under Babcock, Leafs turn up the compete level | Cold As Ice
https://coldasicesite.wordpress.com/2015/11/18/under-babcock-leafs-turn-up-the-compete-level
About Cold As Ice. Hockey coverage you can count on. Under Babcock, Leafs turn up the compete level. November 18, 2015. As a veteran Maple Leafs watcher (going on 45 years or so), I’ve seen some good teams in Toronto, but mostly I’ve seen a lot of mediocrity. This season looked to be yet another disappointment. A squeaker from center ice thrown at the net by Derek Stepan that somehow found its way through his pads. Star struck: High-octane Dallas puts the fun back in the NHL. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

About Cold As Ice. Hockey coverage you can count on. Sidney Crosby: No longer the Kid, but still the best. There’s been a lot of talk about the wealth of young talent in the NHL this season, as the likes of Patrik Laine, Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner light up the scoresheet with regularity. But lest we get too excited about the youngsters, best to remember that the top player in the game has been around for over a decade. Yep, Sid the Kid is now Sid the Man. Never a dull moment in Bruins-Habs rivalry.

About Cold As Ice. Hockey coverage you can count on. The money will roll right in: NHL free agency kicks off with flurry of activity. Let’s take a look at some of the bigger signings today:. Edmonton signs Milan Lucic, 7 years, $42 million. Buffalo signs Kyle Okposo, 7 years, $42 million. Boston signs David Backes, 5 years, $30 million. Backes is the kind of player you pick up when you’re one or two players away from Cup contention, but the Bruins are certainly nowhere near that level. Detroit signs Fran...

About Cold As Ice. Hockey coverage you can count on. Sweet victory: How the Penguins turned things around. Editor’s note: Cold As Ice contributor and diehard Penguins fan Stephen Mapes. Looks back at the unlikely path Pittsburgh took to reach hockey’s highest pinnacle. There’s nothing quite like the joy of seeing the team you’ve cheered, agonized over, and obsessively followed all year hoist Lord Stanley’s Cup aloft. After a season like this one, though, it feels even sweeter. Then, on December 12, the p...

Your source for Kumarific blogservations. Saturday, July 25, 2015. Stuck In Thee Garage #89: July 24, 2015. The show took an unexpected week off last week because of technical bleep-blorp issues, which was ironic since hour 2 was full of songs about technology. Nevertheless, here it is in all its rocktastic glory and it actually works out okay because now I can prepare a show ahead of my vacation in two weeks. So I've got that going for me. Which is nice. The "Whatchoo talkin' 'bout, Twiki? The Kills - S...
