Palm Trees
Wednesday, February 13, 2013. I remember as a child I just loved going to church on Palm Sunday. I was so excited to receive my one, long yellow palm strip, they were so pretty and had such a fresh, clean scent to them! Living in Ohio I had never even seen a palm tree until I visited Florida once at 10 years old. Never did I guess back then when I loved it so much that one day I'd be living in Florida and even selling and shipping these palm strips to Churches for Palm Sunday! Posted by My Inner Child.

San Angelo Cold Hardy Palms and Cycads - Home
DIY vs Hiring Us. Why Palms and Cycads? San Angelo Baymont Inn and Suites. 1706 Pine Valley St. As we have found though, cold is only one of the challenges to raising palms in this area. Some species of very cold hardy palms cannot handle our extremely dry summer heat. Others turn chlorotic in our soil. Some will work fine if planted as large specimens, but will not survive here when smaller. Many are field grown and resold after being freshly dug, resulting in a high mortality rate.
