Cold War Hot Hot Hot: May 2014
http://coldwarhot.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Cold War Hot Hot Hot. A wargaming blog primarily focused on the 1980's Cold War turned hot. US Army in Europe TO&Es. Part 1 - An attempt at a Work-In-Progress. Humbliest apologies. Apart from life being hectic/hell at the moment - I've been concentrating on rules writing and a bit of aircraft kit building rather than painting. I do have a number of thing ready for photos - just to tired to go through the hassle of taking decent photos - so today I just have two very quick photos. That's all for now.

Cold War Hot Hot Hot. A wargaming blog primarily focused on the 1980's Cold War turned hot. US Army in Europe TO&Es. Cold War Campaign Weekend. OK - so it's been a while, longer than I had planned, but I've been trying to bring my Late WW2 British forces up to speed, so they have been dominating my model building and painting desk. No excuses though, I have started the planning for a 2 day campaign with some mates and I thought I might share some of that with you. West German and British; or. Where do we...

Cold War Hot Hot Hot. A wargaming blog primarily focused on the 1980's Cold War turned hot. US Army in Europe TO&Es. I was about to post another entry of Cold war photos, but I thought It was about time I actually posted a real work-in-progress post, to show what I'm actually doing rather than some far distant project. Happily I think I've probably got enough M113's now so it's time to actually do something about them - so here they are. So based on the last photo front row - left to right:. Yes another ...

Cold War Hot Hot Hot. A wargaming blog primarily focused on the 1980's Cold War turned hot. US Army in Europe TO&Es. A Series of Quick Playtest Games. Over the weekend I ran a series of rather simplistic, solo, playtest games on a 10' x 6' table in my garage. As you can see I put a great deal of time and effort into designing the layout of this particular test! The basic premis was this. There is a platoon of NATO tanks (M1's in this case), in a wooded peice of ground. First thing I found was I had been ...

Poor strategies should be studied as well as wise ones, for generals shall adopt the former more oft than the latter. Friday, July 24, 2015. Trumpeter 1/72 UMSC LAV-R - build log Pt.1. After some time, that I spent on terrain pieces for Frostgrave, I needed some proper modelling - so I took out that USMC LAV-R I bought for Skirmish Sangin. The kit is pretty basic - I did not count the pieces, but I managed to put it all together in an hour or hour and a half. Can't remember I had so much fun with a kit.

Cold War Kid - Book by Tom Hanley
A Whimsical Journey Through Postwar America. Excerpt & Reviews. One would hope that a memoir spanning from World War II to present would be a sweeping saga of war, passion, loss, redemption, and hope. One would be mistaken. It’s a story about being raised among the men and machines of the Air Force, growing up Catholic, living in a Texas lighthouse, crashing the occasional airplane, then following the call of the surf to Hawaii. 8220;Cold War Kid”. Check Out “FLYBOYS”. Tommy Riley and his friends are gro...
