Slips of the tongue. Colin Davies's poetry blog. Newer posts →. February 6, 2015. The internet is full of their disgrace,. Their puzzlement, their drunkenness,. Their distances misjudged hilarious! And those cursed with a human face. Ventriloquising pop songs to a mike. Well, comic verse. Doggerel) or, worse,. The cute and cuddly stuff some people like. But aren’t we missing something here? Slips of the tongue. Colin Davies's poetry blog. Raquo; Why do we come to these graves? Why do we come to these graves? April 30, 2015. By guest contributor, Chris Arthur. Slips of the tongue. Colin Davies's poetry blog. Raquo; Rhyme and metre. Most of my poems are quite formal, that is to say they use metre and rhyme. Rules help to steer me away from self-indulgence. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:.

Slips of the tongue. Colin Davies's poetry blog. Why do we come to these graves? For Joe) →. April 14, 2015. I feel another sonnet coming on. About fine art, how every painter needs. A subject, a Forest of Barbizon,. A pretty girl, a coloured world that feeds. His hungry eyes and fuels the flight of his. Imaginings. Abstract or figurative,. It makes no difference. The trick is this:. To steal the sunlight on a wall and give. It back as feelings all can recognise. We notice weather, aspect, time of day.
