miaka mitatu nchini Tanzania: Can I come visit you?
http://tanzaniankathryn.blogspot.com/p/how-long-will-you-be-gone-can-you-come.html
Miaka mitatu nchini Tanzania. Three years in Tanzania]. Can I come visit you? I would love visitors! But, please be aware that you will be living locally, and "roughing it" - it will not be easy, and it will not be relaxing, but it will be a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! With that being said, I cannot be running a hotel and playing tour guide for my entire 2 years in Tanzania! My school schedule is roughly. 1st semester: mid-January to the end of May. Break for June and most of July-. It's free for me!

miaka mitatu nchini Tanzania: How do you pack for 2+ years in Tanzania?
http://tanzaniankathryn.blogspot.com/p/packing-list.html
Miaka mitatu nchini Tanzania. Three years in Tanzania]. How do you pack for 2 years in Tanzania? Ahhhhow do I begin to describe the stress associated with trying to prepare to live in Tanzania for two years, within two relatively small bags? Not to mention that Tanzania is huge and has varied geography/weather, and I have no idea where I'll end up or what my living situation will be like (hot or cold? Running water or electricity? 1 pair quick-dry pants. 1 pair quick-dry capris. 1 pair exercise shorts.

Miaka mitatu nchini Tanzania. Three years in Tanzania]. Friday, July 26, 2013. POTUS, 4th of July, Mt. Kilimanjaro, GREs. Not sure how I've managed to become worse at regularly blogging, considering my daily internet access now, but it has happened. At this rate I have just a couple more blogs left before finishing my service in December.in the words of Tanzanian mamas ". Like "wow" but much better). I did add lots of pictures though, so perhaps I'm slightly redeemed. Following the POTUS visit, I went to...

http://tanzaniankathryn.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Miaka mitatu nchini Tanzania. Three years in Tanzania]. Friday, May 3, 2013. Added tons of pictures to Picasa, including the much requested pictures of my house. Enjoy! When I wake up in the middle of the night to go pee (too much iced coffee, after all.), I no longer have to put pants and shoes on, strap on my headlamp, unlock my door, go outside and brave the creepy night and all the bugs, bats, and rats that can entail. As is never having to worry about my cell phone dying. Or attempting to conser...
