http://collectees.blogspot.com/2010/03/collectees-collectively-we-make-tees.html
Wednesday, March 24, 2010. COLLECTEES: Collectively, we make tees. Today in class, our professor Leif Peng pitched our final assignment to our class: do the culminating design project you've always wanted to do at Mohawk College, but never had the opportunity to work on. Together, Adam Excell, Meg Smith and Wayne Thayer chose to create a design collective to make silkscreened t-shirts (COLLECTEES). Thanks for reading, and check back soon for more updates. Friday, April 23, 2010. On thursday we got to print our t-shirt design. The process was great to learn, and the design looks awesome on our t-shirts. Silkscreening was definitely a quick process on the presses once we got going. Special thanks to Leif, Dan and Sherri for helping us make it happen. Check out our pictures on Flickr. To see our silkscreening efforts! Thursday, April 8, 2010. Final Design's for Printing. We would like to hear your feedback,. Monday, April 5, 2010. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

ROOT: Illustration Friday - Rescue
http://megthesmith.blogspot.com/2010/04/illustration-friday-rescue.html
Thursday, April 1, 2010. Illustration Friday - Rescue. This drawing is something I've had in my head for the last little while. This is it's first attempt- I did this drawing quite small with an ink brush, but I think it needs to be much larger.only problem is, how to scan it in? April 1, 2010 at 9:11 AM. Meg, Really like this Illustration. Very creative. Great work. Have to see what wins at IF - probably some cute cuddly animal. April 1, 2010 at 5:08 PM. OMG, thats amazing meg! I really like this concept.

Thursday, April 15, 2010. I don't have too much of an explanation for this one. This is the business that came out of my head when I asked it to think of being linked. April 15, 2010 at 9:47 PM. April 18, 2010 at 9:46 AM. Nice illustration Meg. I love your backgrounds. I like the style you are starting to use for these. Unique but GREAT! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sunday, July 10, 2011. Wouldn't it be nice? I have an admission: I have a rip-roaring obsession with a time period I didn't live through. I can't be blamed, really. I grew up surrounded by people who showed me the best of what those times had to offer. My dad, a man who used to work for Eatons and produced some of the most gorgeous advertising illustrations I have seen (I'll track some down and scan, I promise! Check out the saddest scene in Bambi to see what I mean. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Simple th...

Thursday, May 20, 2010. It's been a while. I wasn't too sure what to do with this blog after school stopped. I'm not really an illustrator by nature and I'm not big on deadlines unless I'm being paid or marked to meet them so I stopped doing Illustration Friday. I've been peeking at the topics and I'd gladly do another submission if the mood struck me, but it's not something I'd like to do regularly. I found this very helpful blog post. By Nubby Twiglet giving tips on how to design an invoice, and in tha...
ROOT: Newly inspired
http://megthesmith.blogspot.com/2011/08/newly-inspired.html
Saturday, August 13, 2011. I don't know if it's all the Elliot Smith I listened to today, but I finally got inspired. Finally. I've had this feeling for the last little while- the last post helped to express some of it. I feel a very big lack of quality in life. That's a really clumsy way to phrase it, but I'll try my best to explain. And it's making my head spin. It's a bit dark, a bit humourous and definitely has something to say. Skulls and skeletons have been a recurring theme in my art since I w...

Monday, June 27, 2011. ROOT: a new blog. I decided to start blogging again. I can't bring myself to delete this one, because I like reading back on the art I did in college. It gives me a good sense of where I've come from, and where I'm going. However, this new blog won't quite be the same thing. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Greater Toronto Area, Canada. Collected Yarns
Things made, stories told. Friday, March 6, 2015. McCalls 6754 - Christmas Dress. Such is life, at least in this household. Anyway, my daughter made this dress in early December to wear to the wedding. The pattern is McCalls 6754. I think it looks really cute on her. The only thing she is not sure about is the raglan sleeves. We both have really broad shoulders and wonder if the raglan sleeves emphasize that too much? Links to this post.
