Thursday, July 29, 2010. Week of July 26th. This week I jumped in head first into creating a parachute simulation with cloth inside of maya. There is a possibility that the parachute might transform into a Poppy Flower so the geometry was divided up into four seperate sections, each one with a blend shape that morphs into a flower pedal. I also worked on a low polly cow to have in the background of some scenes. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Week of July 26th.

We were given a theme, choice of a few props and a mandatory character to include. If you've never attempted to write a script, film and do video editing in 2 days, I suggest you try it. Its liberating. And follows a young cubes travels through his unusual world.

Thesis: Beggining animations from reference video
http://bakerthesis.blogspot.com/2011/01/beggining-animations-from-reference.html
Friday, January 21, 2011. Beggining animations from reference video. I realized during this project how important dope sheets are. Spending the time to break down reference video saves time tenfold when going through and animating. You dont realize how little you understand about movement until breaking it down frame by frame. Tuesday, August 24, 2010. Before and after. More trials. Adding basic textures to the maya model helped alot with creating a paint effect. The problem is I went overboard and its to detailed. In after effects i'm working on creating mask to adjust paint strokes and blur areas that need to be dimmed down. So far so good. Monday 10:30 am to 7:30 pm. Render without Post Manipulation. Wednesday, August 18, 2010. Wed Meeting with Vita and Nikki. I spent 2.5 hrs this morning (7:30-10:00. Monday, August 16, 2010.
