http://thescreenteen.blogspot.com/2014/07/boyhood-2014-movie-review-by-sean-wu.html
Monday, July 14, 2014. Boyhood (2014) - Movie Review. Answer: both. For three hours, I watched most of my life's experiences flow back to me through Ellar Coltrane's Mason, a cute young boy that grows into a bold young man. From the opening shot of drifting clouds to a conclusion in the canyons, Boyhood. Shuttled me through a life so familiar and fantastic, once the credits rolled, I knew with teary eyes that this movie was a masterpiece for the books. Is the movie perfect? Showed me what to expect, how ...

TheScreenTeen: Her- Movie Review by Sean Wu
http://thescreenteen.blogspot.com/2014/01/her-movie-review-by-sean-wu.html
Sunday, January 12, 2014. Her- Movie Review by Sean Wu. Finally, I can shut the book on 2013. And there is no better way to cap out the year with Her. The best film of 2013. As a whole, this bizarrely beautiful Spike Jonze love story is so perfect because of three scenes:. The scene, on paper, sounds good. But on the screen, it's beautiful. Scarlett Johansson performs so brilliantly with just her voice alone, my heart honestly melted at the moment she said the second "Okay! She says it out of human anger...

To learn more, click here. Is the best film of 2012, by a landslide. It is a well-paced, directed, acted, written, scored. well, its great at everything it does. It nearly pushes 3 hours, but it never bores for a minute. The great performance should take a good amount of credit from Mark Boal, the screenwriter of The Hurt Locker.

TheScreenTeen: Masterpieces Classics: Annie Hall (1977)
http://thescreenteen.blogspot.com/2012/09/masterpieces-classics-annie-hall-1977.html
Tuesday, September 4, 2012. Masterpieces Classics: Annie Hall (1977). Annie Hall: Small Portions. In the beginning of Woody Allen's Annie Hall. Woody's character Alvy Singer tells two jokes. One of them tells the tale of two old ladies at a bad restaurant. Apparently, one says "The food here is so bad! The other says "… and such small portions."Alvy comments that that is how he feels about life: bad but too short. That's how I thought of Annie Hall. Upon first viewing: bad and too short. Cracks start to ...

TheScreenTeen: Masterpieces Classics: Before Sunset (2004)
http://thescreenteen.blogspot.com/2013/04/masterpieces-classics-before-sunset-2004.html
Sunday, April 14, 2013. Masterpieces Classics: Before Sunset (2004). Is neither my favorite movie of all time, nor is it even the best of 2004 (I would put Million Dollar Baby. Ahead of it). But that does not mean the film is masterpiece, because it quite simply just is. The film is a direct sequel to Before Sunrise. A sumptuously romantic film that I thought was missing something. And after watching Before Sunset. Was just destined for imperfection. After meeting, Jesse and Celine talk about life and wa...

TheScreenTeen: Masterpieces Classics: 8½ (1963)
http://thescreenteen.blogspot.com/2012/08/masterpieces-classics-8-1963.html
Wednesday, August 22, 2012. Masterpieces Classics: 8½ (1963). Here's a fact that all film fans should know: Federico Fellini was one of the greatest directors of all time, no doubt about it. His ideas were original, and his films. Felliniesque. His most Felliniesque and autobiographical film is 8½. Starring his man-muse Marcello Mastroianni. 8½. And Fellini's previous work, La Dolce Vita. Unlike the character Marcello in La Dolce Vita. It means that Guido is more comfortable with himself. Even as he ...
