What about that pink medicine? It seems like the cure-all. So, sometimes, a kid gets an antibiotic when he doesn’t need one. And he will get better on it, because the natural course of the virus corresponds with the course of antibiotics. Thus, for most parents, this means that the antibiotic worked!
