Happy Father’s Day Times One and a Half…. On Wednesday, June 23, 2010. And D is doing the reverse for Mother’s Day…):. Please disregard the food in M's mouth. We were stuffing chicken in his mouth in an attempt to take the picture, feed him, and load him in the car in a matter of minutes. It kinda worked too. On Saturday, June 12, 2010. It's kind of neat: our little family will have birthdays in September (M), October (Baby), November (me), and December (D). Mind as well try to shoot for August with ...

Moving On: Blessed
http://phillycouple.blogspot.com/2010/10/blessed.html
On Sunday, October 10, 2010. This the THE week. Baby will be here by Thursday whether s/he likes it or not! We're excited to meet this new little person(ality) and only have to wait four short days :) In light of that fact, Mom surprised me with a Day Out Before Baby last Wednesday. Yana and Dad tag teamed Little Man while we had a fun-filled few hours! But no. We went on to Panera Bread (YUM! Appreciated Dad and Mom getting them for me/us :)! Which of course meant she had to get donuts. M was still ...

http://phillycouple.blogspot.com/2010/11/lylahs-birth-part-1.html
Lylah's Birth, Part 1. On Monday, November 08, 2010. Our Little Girl.who very much looks like her brother when he was this old. Wanting to eat at minutes old! A bow from cousin BreaBrea. The bow came on the monkey that Ryan and Yana gave to M to keep him company in his isolete.which I gave to Brea to keep her company.which they gave to Lylah to keep her company. You can probably see a tradition forming here! Happy to have her out! There D had to get his scrubs on while they gave me a spinal and prepped m...

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas. On Wednesday, December 15, 2010. And it's a good thing because it's a mere ten days away! We are going to D's Christmas party for work on Saturday night. With our two kiddos. Should be an interesting time. It's our one and only Christmas party this year because D was working during the other two to which we were invited. Also on the agenda for this weekend (besides another good sale at Once Upon A Child! I love watching him work :). Found Christmas in My Heart.

Moving On: 04/2010
http://phillycouple.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
On Monday, April 26, 2010. So I'm proud of him. Definitely room for improvement, especially around nap or bedtime, but that's to be expected. I don't tell him that, though :). All that to say, I enjoy his daily company and his happy, inquisitive personality. Now, for the videos. Learned how to say his name and how to respond to "What's your name? Literally overnight a few weekends ago. He sure hears it often enough. Ok, off to bed, it's already after 9pm! On Thursday, April 22, 2010. The New Britain Spor...

http://phillycouple.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
On Tuesday, August 31, 2010. Dad made the two stovetop burners out of materials he had lying around. I populated the kitchen with things from the thrift store, the dollar store, and the stainless steel cooking set came from Toys R Us. He's using playdough for food right now, but next time we're at IKEA I'm going to buy him the felt food they just came out with. Dad made these knobs for the stove and the oven :). He even put a little switch (see far left? See the light in the back? It's an old night light!

Moving On: Thanksgiving, Mostly
http://phillycouple.blogspot.com/2010/12/thanksgiving-mostly.html
On Monday, December 06, 2010. Well, we are back home now and enjoying the new routine we've established. D had four days off for Thanksgiving and then worked the 5pm-11pm shift all last week, so we had A LOT of quality family time that we weren't used to, but thoroughly enjoyed. This week he's working late four out of five nights, so when family time ended, it really ended! Enjoying it while it lasts :). I'm in the market for a little tree for him so he'll stop touching all the stuff on our tree! Of cour...

Moving On: 07/2010
http://phillycouple.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
On Saturday, July 31, 2010. Anyway, here is a little clip of it in action. They have different colors, the red one is a ladybug and the green one looks like a monster. I liked the orange face best.and it's gender neutral :). On Thursday, July 29, 2010. The baby's gender is in my file, but they probably have a warning posted on it that I don't want to know. Anyway, just an interesting conversation to note.possibly. D said I just should have asked if she is a girl, but where's the fun in that? Mom had a go...

Moving On: Lylah at One Month
http://phillycouple.blogspot.com/2010/12/lylah-at-one-month.html
Lylah at One Month. On Wednesday, December 08, 2010. I dislike two piece outfits on babies for two reasons: they don't seem very warm and socks always go missing. Like here, for example! 11 pounds, 10 ounces, 22 1/2 inches. Lylah will be eight weeks this week, almost two months! Her "fussy" times are when she wants to eat, when she's been up too long and can't put herself to sleep, when she's gassy, and hmmm, that's about it! She is definitely a gift from God and we are enjoying our little girl and how M...

Moving On: And so begins the final year of my 20s!
http://phillycouple.blogspot.com/2010/11/and-so-begins-final-year-of-my-20s.html
And so begins the final year of my 20s! On Monday, November 15, 2010. The "Happy Birthday" texts started arriving at 6:57am and came at regular intervals throughout the day. Fortunately, though, my phone was on silent mode because I was able to sleep until 9:15am! Lylah is a wonderful sleeper and Mom has been getting up with M, so I woke feeling very rested! I came downstairs to a BIG hug from M and a rousing rendition of "Happy to yooooou! Enjoying ABP food together. All the while Mom was busy making a ...
