Maeve's Momma: Thoughts on Motherhood: Writing Progress
http://maevesmomma.blogspot.com/2015/08/writing-progress.html
Thursday, August 6, 2015. It used to be that Maeve could really only write the letters in her name, and when I asked her to try new ones, she would shove the paper back at me and ask me to write them instead. But she's gotten more adventurous about writing letters lately, and also about trying to spell things on her own. And the L E S for the rest of Please? And a pretty passable G for the beginning of Give. She was excited to show off how well she could write the letters of her godmother's name. Our 1 i...

Maeve's Momma: Thoughts on Motherhood: A Few Things I Like
http://maevesmomma.blogspot.com/2015/07/a-few-things-i-like.html
Tuesday, July 28, 2015. A Few Things I Like. Shall we not speak about yesterday? We shall not. It was. rough. It is over. Today I wanted to blog about a couple of products that I'm really happy I found. And no, no one is paying me to mention them, I promise. Also, why do I care about parabens and animal cruelty? Why not organic, or all-natural, or whatever? Well, let me put it this way. You know when your bottle of shampoo says "Dermatologist Tested"? That means that in a lab, someone squirted it into hu...

http://lauracpittman.blogspot.com/2014/09/you-knew-them-when.html
Anything going on around here and in my head. Friday, September 26, 2014. You Knew Them When. One afternoon towards the end of the school year, I was out front with the kids playing around. Our across the street neighbors were out as well and we were talking and catching up. Their daughter, who is 14, told me about something she does that she thought Josh would really enjoy. She began describing something called ACT I and ACT II. It stands for Academy of Children's Theater and Academy of Community Theater.

Maeve's Momma: Thoughts on Motherhood: Love and Clinging
http://maevesmomma.blogspot.com/2015/08/love-and-clinging.html
Monday, August 3, 2015. I wonder if, when my daughter is busy perfecting the art of making me completely insane, if she's also pondering the art of how to show me how much she loves me. Because although this has been a challenging week with Maeve's behavior, with various events, and especially, dramatic exits, that I wish I could sponge from the record of the universe, it's also been a week of Maeve showering me with love and even clinginess. Of course, it helps that I'm the one who buys the snowcones.
