Laquo; The Open Air School Is Reborn For One Day. During our open air printmaking day at Buck Wood we were concentrating so intently on making the prints we didn’t get much chance to take photos, but we did take some that seem to capture the spirit of the day and hopefully give a feel of what its like to make prints. Ogden Water Country Park is a lovely area of reservoir, paths and woodlands, located a few miles from Halifax. It’s an ideal place for families of all ages to enjoy nature and any artist can find something there to sketch such as the beautiful landscape, the strolling visitors or the noisy ducks. Buck Wood is a beautiful, tranquil patch of woodland to the north of Thackley in north Bradford. The wood covers an area of fairly level high ground as well as the steep north-facing slope down to the Leeds-Liverpool canal. There is varied tree cover, scattered fields used for grazing and patches of marshland created by the many springs occurring throughout the wood.
