Graham Cracker Crust is so delicious because it's made out of cookies! Plus, you don't need to worry about flakiness or texture; it's great no matter what. We use a recipe from Ken Haedrich's Pie. 1 3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs (about 9 -11 graham crackers). 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar. Big pinch of salt.

Sauvie Island | asleep to dream
https://asleeptodream.com/tag/sauvie-island
About Asleep to Dream. Tag Archives: Sauvie Island. The Great Pumpkin…Patch. October 7, 2014. Fall officially started on September 23rd, but you wouldn’t think it to be true around here. The leaves seem to be drying, not changing, the air is warm, not crisp, and the fall rains are non-existent. Alas, there are some recognizable signs of Autumn. As we do every year, we drove out to Sauvie Island. We just grabbed a cart and trekked across the road to the patch, which is a nice manageable size to walk throu...

About Asleep to Dream. Category Archives: local oregon adventures. October 5, 2016. We spent this past Sunday with long-time friends touring various farms along the Hood River Fruit Loop. It was a perfect day to escape the gloomy weather of the Willamette Valley and head to the sunshine of the Columbia Gorge to seek freshly picked apples, pears, pumpkins, and corn mazes. Josh and I have been making a point to spend time with the kids each weekend in the country or an environment that lends itself to care...
stovetop experiments: July 2012
http://missmollysbasket.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 24, 2012. Even at the end of july, northwest oregon is grey. In spite of the potential – or, inevitable – soft rain, it’s summertime, and all i want to do is go the coast and walk, bare feet, along the icy water, spotting pelicans and drift wood and half broken sand dollars. The pacific is beautiful – dark and rugged and gusty, spotted with blackberries and hydrangea. A little rain never hurt no one, so off we went. ella, our friends dog, lead the way, forest bound. 1 1/2 cups rolled oats.

Millions of Peaches, Peaches for Me. July 11, 2015. August 8, 2015. Okay, there weren’t millions of peaches. Not yet, anyway. Maybe next week? But there were millions of blueberries. And we picked like half of them. Also, who was going to tell me that Tulameen Raspberries taste just like candy? Seriously amazing. For the next few weeks I think that all my effort will have to go into getting as many of those raspberries in my belly as humanly possible. I’ll keep you posted. Usually we go to Columbia Farms.
