It has responded in the last few days to bring me some blossoms for Easter to share with you. Monday, May 26, 2014. Clematis on Memorial Day. This is a gloriously sunny day, Memorial Day 2014, as we pause to remember all those who have served to protect this country. Because of their service we are free to fly where we want so I felt lucky to be out photographing my flag this morning as a jet full of people flew overhead. Right now is prime time in my garden for my clematis collection. This one was newly planted a year ago and is simply outstanding this week. Starring in my front garden right now.

Tuesday, December 23, 2014. When they light up our Christmas tree on the village green it is the signal for the decorating to begin! In the Village Center the lamp posts are wrapped with garland and ribbon and the store decorations range from a modest door wreath with a lit tree inside to. Saturday, June 14, 2014. Flag Day in my Garden. As the sun sets on Flag Day 2014 I thought I might show what was blooming in my garden today. The astilbe by the deck is putting on a fine showing. The clematis on top the arch continues to bloom mostly unseen. Ah ha, beaten at it's own game! Mint is known to be very rampant and at the end of the season last year I hauled a lot of the mint out and trashed it knowing it would be back. And look what else has sneaked in! Friday, July 4, 2014. A Hometown July Fourth. Our small town has a July 4th parade which had just finished by the time we got to the village this morning.
