Friday, December 30, 2011. What to Get at Christmas. We open the Christmas gifts on December 25, though we don't celebrate the Feast of the Nativity until January 7 (old calendar). So like we did, our children have two Christmases, so to speak. And it's fun. The previous anticipation culminates into one or two gifts from us and a few from Gido and Teta (grandparents) and uncles and aunties. "favorite things" that they've asked for and other special things they didn't know they wanted. And we got it!
