Small adventures in strange places. Monday, October 31, 2005. The Monkey Business Crew. Posted by Linton at 2:51 PM. Terrorist Attacks in Delhi. Just letting everyone know that I’m okay. One of the bombings was at Sarojini Nagar Market, which I’ve gone to a few times, and makes it a little scary. I was on the other side of the city at the time of the attacks, however, so all is fine with me and everyone I know. Posted by Linton at 2:50 PM. Back to Delhi on a delux bus. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad I took...

From his humble beginnings at The Muppet Workshop, Mike has been working on some really cool stuff - see his website www.michaelschupbach.com. I only just heard about his current show "Johnny and the Sprites" from a mass email he sent out today. Last Christmas I saw some of his puppet sketches for this project and now it's a big success! I hear...

Small adventures in strange places. Friday, September 30, 2005. Walked to India gate this morning. Walked to India gate this morning. Don't let the pretty image fool you, its not worth it. Posted by Linton at 1:54 PM. Went to the Jama Mosque today, which is the biggest in India. It was very pretty in the setting sunlight. Sadly, I could not take pictures inside so I got this photo of the outside. Imagine that sort of red stone towering into minarettes as the sun sets. Posted by Linton at 11:42 AM. Went t...

Small adventures in strange places: November 2005
http://linton3.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
Small adventures in strange places. Monday, November 28, 2005. I hope some of you agree. Apparently there's a West Linton, Indiana. And a whole page devoted to how You'll like Linton. Its actually a little creepy. The slogan won a competition back in the 1930's. They have a song. And multiple signs like the one above. Posted by Linton at 1:18 PM. I know half of my advertising budget is wasted. I just don’t know which half. 19th century Philadelphia department store owner John Wannamaker. The problem with...

A Gradual Unfolding: Dude, just get the postcard!
http://agradualunfolding.blogspot.com/2006/08/dude-just-get-postcard.html
Wednesday, August 30, 2006. Dude, just get the postcard! I must admit, I am not a big fan of Kansas. There is not much to keep you occupied as you travel the miles and miles of prairie land. You know it's a bad sign when the following takes place only about an hour and half into the trip:. Me: "This is boring. I am having trouble staying focused on the road.". Dad: "You're probably just tired.". Me: "Yeah, TIRED OF KANSAS! I am REALLY enjoying your trip across country. What a wonderful idea!

Comment-link {margin-left:.6em;}. Bad news, emily! Thursday, September 29, 2005. I wish I could have been fearless longer. I didn’t start gymnastics until I was 13, so not only was I a head taller than all the other girls in my class, but I seemed to be the most cautious of them. I think little kids can excel so quickly because they’re not afraid of the effects of that little thing called gravity. It’s kinda like Uncle Rico living too much in ‘82. Oh, man! A Gradual Unfolding: High Roller!
http://agradualunfolding.blogspot.com/2006/09/high-roller.html
Sunday, September 03, 2006. We visited the El Dorado Casino in Reno so I could take my first shot at gambling. I won five times working the slots, but then lost it all. I'm out $3! Gambling, it's such an addiction. You are making me want to play the slot machines, again. When I turned 21 and was legally allowed to be in a casino, my dad took me to one of the riverboat casinos in Louisiana when I was traveling on a business trip with him. Like you, I'm a conservative gambler! View my complete profile.

We make a quick change of plans, bypassing Fallon, NV and continuing on the road. There's no stopping us now! We arrive in Reno.
