Comin' Home Soon. August 14, 2013. Mark and I had our first summer together in seven years, can you believe that? Well, if you are a volleyball wife or girlfriend, or the partner of any professional athlete then you’ll know where I’m coming from. If you listened to the Mo Farah interview. This decision for us, and for everyone involved in the program, was a real kick in the teeth. Unfortunately, most of the GB Men’s and Women’s volleyball players are no longer playing professionally, perh...But I think t...

Comin' Home Soon. Graffiti – “Better Out Than In” – NYC. October 4, 2013. Banksy revealed today that he will release a new piece of art in NYC, every day in October for fans to track down and view, for free, before someone, perhaps a rival graffiti artist, white-washes it. Banksy is so elusive, so intriguing to me, and every other person on the planet…and his street art, well, it speaks for itself. Have a little look at this video and tell me you don’t want to go? Bushwick, Brooklyn, NYC. My point is I l...

Comin' Home Soon. Parenting 101 (The Answer). September 13, 2013. One of my first blog posts I named Parenting 101. It was about how I didn’t have all the answers to being a parent, I didn’t know what the secret was…until now! Written by a Pre-School Teacher. I was on a parenting bulletin board recently and read a post by a mother who was worried that her 4 1/2 year old did not know enough. What should a 4 year old know? So here, I offer my list of what a 4 year old should know. He should know his own in...

Comin' Home Soon. August 15, 2013. So I’m kinda new to Instagram, (yeah I’ve posted a. Photograph’s here and there BUT not only of my kid…cos I’m more than just a mum! I’m really bad at posting pictures of my kid, though convince myself that I don’t do it THAT much, and some parents I know are a LOT worse! Do we all do that? Anyway, there’s some kind of crazy logic I use to make myself feel better about being creepy on Instagram, and here it is:. Only follow people you know and like. Obviously. If you fo...

IMentor iAssess iPlay iSupport iNetwork iSport iBelieve in family. December 5, 2012. I had recently been invited to have an informal chat. With a charity to support them deliver a school based Play Project. I had arrived into the area earlier than expected, so decided to walk the last half an hour relax and listen to a football podcast on my iphone. Think about what j...

and so it is...: About
http://giveitgrace.blogspot.com/p/about_13.html
And so it is." grew from a simple desire to chronicle the stories that make up our lives. It documents the silly and the serious, the mundane and the monumental. Each day, my husband and I are reminded that this journey is what we make it and we want to make it good. So, we choose happy. The phrase "and so it is." holds special meaning to me as it is a reminder that there is no end to our learning and that people are capable of great change. Thanks for stopping by! March 16, 2018. Your Hands. The wrinkles are deep now, like my love for you. They fix me when I’m cracking, secure me when I’m crumbling, and catch me when I’m falling to pieces. Coming Home | Through Poems by Suzanne Horton
Through Poems by Suzanne Horton. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. December 22, 2016. I have eyes to see. In technicolor, the world bleeds. Intimately into the streets. While I swallow waves of grief. With my Sunday morning, coffee. When video was absent. A doomed man’s final pleas for peace. Posted on social media. A time when photos were black and white. Between folds on newspaper print. It is helplessness I feel. Watching a boy my son’s age. Cradling his brother’s lifeless body.
Coming Home
Saturday, January 28, 2012. Let’s Get the Party Started! We didn’t waste any time getting the house broken in. We started with a bluegrass hootenanny at the beginning of December. It was a great test for the great room and kitchen. With a fire roaring in the fireplace, there was room enough for food, spectators, and musicians. Then we turned it around and tidied up for garden club. That seemed to do the trick. And look what a beautiful arrangement he made. And he just kept going! Where should we do that?
