The Farr's: Emergency Preparedness
http://the-farrs.blogspot.com/2014/05/emergency-preparedness.html
Sunday, May 25, 2014. It's been almost a week since one of our little guys was admitted to the hospital. This experience taught me a few things about being prepared that I really had never considered before. Emergency preparedness is not just for huge, natural disaster type emergencies. It is for any time you and your family hit a bump in the road that is life. Let me explain:. 4 "Go" Bags: I always thought of 72-hour kits as being necessary for a disaster. I wish I had one put together so poor Travi...

The Farr's: This is why I hate Valentine's Day....
http://the-farrs.blogspot.com/2014/02/this-is-why-i-hate-valentines-day.html
Friday, February 14, 2014. This is why I hate Valentine's Day. I've never been a fan of Valentine's Day but it seems like we, as a society, have gone a little crazy over this "holiday." I would prefer my husband not spend $30.00 on flowers, plus another 5 bucks for a card and I have no idea how much those boxes of chocolates cost! You know how I know he loves me? Even though he has been sick he came home from work last night and made the boys dinner AND he cleaned it up. Why? Maybe I'm just not a romanti...

http://steadfastinchrist.blogspot.com/2011/07/books-that-inspire-peacegiver.html
Wednesday, July 20, 2011. Books That Inspire: Peacegiver. How is Christ the answer to a strained relationship with child, parent or sibling? What if I am being mistreated — what does the atonement say about that? How can I discover the desire to repent when I don't feel the need to repent? These are the challenging questions of daily life, the questions to which the gospel must provide an answer if it is to have living, cleansing, redeeming power. Labels: Books That INspire. The Challenge of the Year.

steadfast in Christ: November 2009
http://steadfastinchrist.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 29, 2009. Insights from Jeffrey R Holland "A Prayer for the Children". God will send aid to no one more readily than he will send it to a child-and to the parent of the child. Friday, November 27, 2009. Everything in the gospel revolves around the family. There is a lot more love within the church, yet outside it there is much fear. Satan is working hard on trying to divide up families. he did all of this for us. The work of Genealogy is on ALL of us! Thursday, November 26, 2009. Large b...

The Farr's: Anger
http://the-farrs.blogspot.com/2013/05/anger.html
Tuesday, May 07, 2013. I recently came across a quote that I really needed to hear. It said "For every minute you remain angry, you give up sixty seconds of peace." I've been angry and lonely the past few months. And yesterday it seemed to hit me as to why. We didn't qualify for state funding. Despite the diagnosis, they didn't consider them sever enough to warrant intervention. Yesterday I learned that our insurance doesn't cover autism therapies. And that is when I got really angry. This made me cry!

The Farr's: It's okay to not be okay
http://the-farrs.blogspot.com/2014/01/its-okay-to-not-be-okay.html
Monday, January 27, 2014. It's okay to not be okay. One of my New Year's resolutions was to get better at blogging! I started this blog as a way to document and record my families life and I have, unfortunately, been letting Facebook do that for me! You can't really get the whole story on Facebook so I want to make sure I record things here! Let's hope it gets better from here on out! What will they think of me? Will they see this as a cry for attention? Or will they find it inspiring? But I am coming to...

The Farr's: The grieving process
http://the-farrs.blogspot.com/2012/02/grieving-process.html
Friday, February 24, 2012. It's all so much to take in. And I often find myself feeling as awful, sad, depressed, etc. as I did the day we read the words "autistic disorder." Will it ever get easier? When does this grieving process end? And then what will take its place? Beth and your family are in my prayers. Hang in there! Daniel and Kelli McDowell Family. Grieving is definitely in order, and not mean at all. Hang in there sweet pea. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). These are my confessions. Elizabe...
