Bundanoon Carnival of the Scarecrows was held each year in October in the NSW Southern Highlands in conjunction with the Village Garden Ramble. The village came alive with over 100 scarecrows for two weeks. The Carnival also included local open gardens, a country garden market and quilters' exhibition. Middleton Country Fair Scarecrow Competition. Is held annually on the first Saturday of February, south of Hobart in Tasmania 'in the heart of Scarecrow Country'. There are scarecrows on fences in paddocks and up trees - lavishly and humorously attired. Middleton Country Fair also features stalls, animal displays, sheep shearing, bands, veteran and classic cars and kids games - a real family day. Each year about 2000 people attend to enjoy the stalls, food, plants, historical displays and pony rides.

The Milton Scarecrow Festival. Is held each year on the June long weekend. In the South Coast area of NSW, Australia. Crowds flock every year to see the street performers, market stalls, horse drawn carriage rides, a farm animal zoo, and of course, the Milton scarecrows. There are scarecrow prizes donated by local businesses, scarecrow face painting and a children's scarecrow costume competition. Each year Milton Scarecrow Festival has a different theme. 2009 - 'Fairy Tales'. 2008 - 'Going Outer Space'.
