Today I remembered Jesus' perseverance through pain. When I am faced with temptation to be lazy or self-indulgent, I will recall how he persevered through the pain of rejection, hardship, pain, and being misunderstood on a grand scale. His pain did not just mean toughing it out it was an expression of love.
